Smoakies Bar-B-Que is locally owned. From the sandwiches to the ribs, you cannot go wrong. If you are in Cordele, you albsolutely have to eat here. If you are traveling and want good food not far off the interstate, take exit 102 on I-75 and it's right there. If going south, take exit 102, bear to the right, and it's... More

Right off the interstate, newer building with a down-home feel delivers great BBQ and the best fried pies/turnovers you can imagine ... peach is my favorite; the banana pudding is also off the chain!

If you want to skip chain food and have a real local experience, this is the place. The barbecue chicken was excellent as were the fried green tomatoes, onion rings and beans. The fried pickle chips were quite salty and the pork ribs, though good, were a bit overdone and dry. They do offer a selection of sauces. This is a... More

Driving northbound I-75 from Tampa, we found this awesome place on Trip Advisor and we were pleased! The fried green tomatoes were the best my bride's ever had; they had a thin batter and we're crispy but still very juicy inside. The ribs were nicely seasoned with a rub and the meat came right off the bone. The chopped barbecue... More

We stopped in while heading to Orlando and the food was so worth the stop. We have children with allergies and the owner came out to our table to ensure my daughters with Gluten and nut allergies had many options for dinner. The quaint Southern atmosphere was exactly what we needed after spending hours on the road. We enjoyed BBQ,... More

We had tried #1 on the list. so only right that we try #2. This little place, BUT BIG on taste and service. The beef brisket was so tender, you could cut it with a spoon. Being from the South, I just had to try their fried tomatoes. Large slices and very crispy. Every thing was so fresh and delicious.... More

We read the reviews and decided to give this little restaurant a try. A few of the reviews mentioned that some of the portions were small; we did not experience that at all! In fact we went in with the idea that if the reviews were right, we would just order more. We had a full slab of ribs, an... More

Stopped for dinner on our way home from Miami to north Georgia at 5:15 pm. Just off I75. Great stop. Cute small place. There was only one other guest eating at the same time but the service was slow. Lots of take out and drive thru business. Great Brunswick stew!! Delicious fried green tomatoes. Hubby enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich... More

Stopped in Cordele while traveling and ate here for dinner. Cute enough on the outside and the inside was nice enough. The manager was walking around helping his ONE waitress on a Saturday night. The waitress was not very friendly. She was obviously stressed out and running around and just wanted to get done what she had to get done.... More
