Perhaps I am too literal and too punctual, but if an establishment, any establishment, states they open at 11:00 AM, I don't expect the doors to still be locked at 11:05 AM. But if they are running late, I don't feel it too much to ask that one of the 15+ employees who could obviously see us at the door... More

Even though it's an Italian restaurant the Philly cheesesteak is my favorite item on the menu. The lasagna is also very good. The chips with dip is good. The place is always packed because it's always consistently food. Food served quickly.

Once again a great cheesesteak and side salad. Love this place. Always good food and quick service. In the neighborhood to boot. Even walked the last time

I got the chicken Parmesan and meat balls. I can not describe how bad the meat balls were. The chicken seemed frozen and the sauce was very bland. I wag only there once traveling through on Business so I wouldn't go back.. my manager got the calzone but was not impressed. The service was good and everyone was nice....

Steaks are made with formed minute steaks that are average tasting. Growing up in South Philly I was introduced to thinly sliced, eye roast, skirt steak, top round and knuckle tip. They are more expensive than minute steaks. I used thinly sliced filet mignon in my operations which had a high acceptability.

My husband and I visit The Mad Italian frequently and we have never been disappointed in their food. The atmosphere can best be described as "hole in the wall" friendliness which is one of the reasons we like it so much. Nothing presumptuous here- just great food, great music, and great service. Philly Cheese Steaks are amazing, but my husband... More

For more years than I'd like to admit, we have been coming to this location for many, many years. Everything is always good ... just deciding what to eat @ each visit is challenging. We just shared the 10" Steak n' Cheese with extra cheese & mushrooms plus a large tuna salad...and we were stuffed! Great for either eating in... More

This is one of my favorite restaurants of all time! Try the tuna chef salad, no one else makes this. House dressing is awesome, creamy Italian. Homemade. Great food, fast.

This place is patronized almost totally by locals including us. We have often just laughed at the eccentric and slow service and that is just the usual thing about this quirky place serving Americanized "Italian" basics and best Philly cheese steaks in ATL. Tonight, however, they had a new twist on slow service. 7:30, Sat. night; walked in; easily one-third... More
