The menu says the family began a restaurant in New England and came to Florida. They brought the lobsters with them. Real New England ones, not local spiny ones. Yummy lobster bisque and stuffed lobster. Friendly, informal service.

The Cottage has better ambience and bisque, but The Duchess was a far superior dinner and will bring us back

My husband and had a wonderful meal at the bar where they were able to seat us immediately. We had Riley the bartender/waitress serve our delicious steamed middle neck clams and Portuguese soup. Had great service and conversation. Definitely one our favorite places to go on the Key!

The Lobster Pot is a small quaint seafood restaurant right in downtown siesta. We had a seafood dinner and it was excellent. No need to dress up as shorts are fine. Be sure to get there early as it does get very busy but well worth the wait. The waitstaff is friendly and the atmosphere is delightful.

We were a group of 2 families, total of 8. We chose the Lobster Pot after a full day at the beach. We parked in Beach lot #10 and it was the perfect spot for both the beach and walking through town. The menu has something for everyone. Our group had hotdogs, spaghetti, and seafood. We are from Maine so... More

Small place in center of town. A bit disappointed in our food. I'd consider the Ten grilled shrimp listed as "large" to actually be small. Flavor ok but probably frozen not local. Coleslaw pretty good and red skin potatoes good except they were sitting in a puddle of butter or oil. Spouse disappointed with lobster roll; again maybe we should... More

We recently had dinner on a busy weeknight and enjoyed our dinner very much. We arrived without reservations and were able to get a table-for-two within 20 minutes. The food was well worth the wait and a nice reminder of one of our favorite Provincetown restaurants. The Seafood Jambalaya had a nice kick and plenty of fresh seafood (mussels, clams,... More

Located on Siesta Key in beautiful Sarasota, we bring you the finest tastes of New England. Enjoy a delightful dining experience in our main dining room or our patio. As winners of "Taste of Sarasota," we still carry on the New England tradition of excellence. While here we hope you'll enjoy your "Old Cape Cod" and Florida dining experience! We purchase fresh seafood daily from only the finest fisherman in our native areas and also Florida. All of our live lobsters are from Bar Harbor and Boothbay Maine. While specializing in New England seafood and of course lobster, we also offer local seafood, steaks, chops, chicken, pasta and salads. Several of our recipes have been passed down from the owner’s family including our award winning signature baked stuffed lobster duchess, which is oven-baked Maine lobster stuffed with chunky seafood. Also using family recipes are our terrific homemade soups, including lobster bisque, New England clam chowder and the wonderful Portuguese kale soup.
