Third time in Siesta Key; first time at Lobster Pot. Got right in with no wait. Our waitress was very good! We had the scallops and fried shrimp. The scallops were very good. I selected rice and red potatoes as side dishes. Shrimp was good as well. I would describe the restaurant as casual. We will return.

We stopped in for lunch. The lobster roll and crab cake sandwich were delicious. Good coleslaw too. Friendly waitress and clean. Small place though but sometimes smaller is better.

Went with friends on a Sat night late. We arrived about 8pm, thinking there would be a short wait. Well, we had to wait outside for over an hour before they had a table for 4. Thankfully, the mosquitos were cooperative, so we weren't bitten waiting outside, and just enjoyed watching all of the tourists!. Fairly small establishment. They consider... More

This place was really nice. We actually went there 2 night out of our 5 night stay. James, one of the waiters, was so pleasant. They have great lobster rolls.

One of us had steamers, that were excellent, as well as the lobster tail and filet mignon. One had a firey scallop appetizer that had way too much cheese on it. I wouldn't recommend it. The lobster roll wasn't anything special. My friend wanted to go back again for the steamers, but I didn't think it was worthy of returning.

We went there after the beach. I asked for what was fresh and they said Covia and Grouper. They were prepared without seasoning, low salt due to blood pressure, and both were delicate, moist and wonderful. I wanted to eat local catch, not trucked in frozen stuff and this filled the requirement.Wherever you travel, get the local catch.

We visited on our vacation. Our cup of clam chowder appetizer was more like a bowl, and very tasty. The corn bread they served with the dinners is the best I have ever tasted. I wish I had the recipe. We shared snapper and the Shore Platter. The snapper was fresh and delicious. The broiled Shore Platter had succulent, plump... More

This is one of those old time places that are on your list that you eventually have to try. We were very pleased overall. They promote a homemade garlic dressing and I have to believe that's not just puffing, it is some of the best ever. I had the Lobster Alfredo and it was a creamy non-clumpy sauce with lots... More

Came for a family dinner and had a wonderful place to sit by the window. Enough room for the 7 of us. Had amazing service my Kara. Gave us recommendations on great beers and the service was on point! Food was perfect and didn't have to wait long at all.

I came here with my girlfriend on our vacation - the appetizers were Great, the lobster and crab legs were perfect, and our server Kara was the BEST. We will definitely be back.

Description
Located on Siesta Key in beautiful Sarasota, we bring you the finest tastes of New England. Enjoy a delightful dining experience in our main dining room or our patio. As winners of "Taste of Sarasota," we still carry on the New England tradition of excellence. While here we hope you'll enjoy your "Old Cape Cod" and Florida dining experience! We purchase fresh seafood daily from only the finest fisherman in our native areas and also Florida. All of our live lobsters are from Bar Harbor and Boothbay Maine. While specializing in New England seafood and of course lobster, we also offer local seafood, steaks, chops, chicken, pasta and salads. Several of our recipes have been passed down from the owner’s family including our award winning signature baked stuffed lobster duchess, which is oven-baked Maine lobster stuffed with chunky seafood. Also using family recipes are our terrific homemade soups, including lobster bisque, New England clam chowder and the wonderful Portuguese kale soup.
