The Cuban sandwich was great. Be sure to try the Black Bean soup. All in all a pleasant experience. We will be coming back to try some of the daily specials.

Simple restaurant. No frills. But great Cuban food. Cuban sandwiches were delicious on real Cuban bread. Tamales were excellent. Special of the day was flavorful chicken with rice and black beans on the side. Good value too.

The outside will fool you..doesnt look like much..inside is great Cuban food. Shared plates..Cuban sandwich and chicken (large leg-thigh), yellow rice, black beans, Cuban toast, plantains. Tender chicken, garlicky, great flavor. Nice people.

I have been living in the area for over a year now (moved from Miami, Fl), and was really excited to find out about Cafe Havana. Being Cuban myself, I expect consistency in cuban cuisine. I have ordered take out three times now and unfortunately have mixed reviews. If you ask most Cubans what the standard cuban dish is, it... More

Cafe Havana is a throw back to an old school type diner that has no frills, nothing extravagant. Just good food. The place is located next to a gas station and it looks a little run down but the food is excellent. It is one of those places that you almost need to stumble onto to know it is there.... More

Stopped for lunch after passing this by for months. The Cuban sandwich bread was very good. I was disappointed with the meat ratio. It had 1 slice of pork (end to end in the roll) and several slices thick of ham. It also had a dressing, Swiss cheese and pickles. The sandwich does not come with any sides. I also... More

We stopped here for breakfast on our way from the Tampa airport to Sarasota. At 10:30 AM we could get a full Cuban breakfast or lunch, which met everyone's desires! I had a plate of eggs, bacon and Cuban toast while my son had a shrimp burrito that was stuffed with rice, beans and seafood! The rest of the family... More

When you first pull up, you're not too sure you have the right place, because it's next to a convenient store. We were taken to our seats, it wasn't crowded at the time. Our server was pleasant and gave us ample time to order. We already knew what we were going to order,...their Cuban sandwich. Then my husband wanted to... More

What a lovely and welcoming place for an authentic Cuban meal in the Sarasota area. The drive to Bradenton will be especially worth it for the breakfast special (that includes cafe con leche) or churrasco at dinner. Yum!
