I miss this place. I do hope they are back up and running soon. Atmosphere is fun and funky. Excellent wait staff and JR is there to greet and make sure everything is running top notch. Authentic recipes and in house dressings and sauces. I miss the jerk chicken, though :( A fire next door did some damage to the... More

This restaurant used to be a favorite, but they recently had a major fire. As of July 2016 it is not open. They hope to rebuild in the future.

Have eaten there many times, always exceptional. Burgers great, soups outstanding, desserts homemade. Seafood will not disappoint. Amazing that a small kitchen can produce some great food. Servers friendly. Entertainment is as good as the food, Enjoy.

Lunch visit last week JR's was excellent. We ordered the Basa fish poor boy sandwiches. Service & food was excellent. Always a pleasure to visit this place.

You CAN'T judge a book by its cover. As you drive past this place for the first time, the inclination is to keep driving. Big mistake! This self-admitted dive bar is just the best place to kick back, have a Cuban (or Ybor burger), and listen to some great rock (real rock), blues or country music. If you want a... More

Dropped in during the regional regatta and we weren't disappointed. This is a great local spot with a wide variety of yummy stuff. There was even live music when we were there. I got the JR's famous teriyaki chicken wings and was very happy I did.

This place could be five stars or no stars just as well. Raggedy, jumbled, hidden. Gravel lot. Cracked concrete floor. Inside is as dark as a mine, even at noon. Seems to me like a blue collar bar/lunch stop that has adapted to changing times by expanding the menu and adding music at night. They have thrived apparently, by having... More

Four of us had a late lunch here. Cuban sandwich was excellent, as well as the Basa fish Reuben . Atmosphere is eclectic and homey. Our waitress was efficient and friendly. The prices seemed a little high for a bar/cafe, but it certainly was interesting. Live entertainment some evenings, which we missed.

We took advantage of a day off and the end of snowbird season to return to this treasure for lunch. The simple burgers were cooked to perfection and the service was wonderful. The "ambience" is impossible to describe and has to be experienced to appreciate. The ONLY downside is the almost impossible parking but everything else makes it worth the... More

Had lunch with some colleagues and customers one day - great place, right by an antique shop. Def a favorite of the locals. Had the cuban, very good and the beans and rice served with were very well done as well. We enjoyed the food very much. Hopefully will go back in the near future.
