Booked a table the Night before when restaurant had not have any reservations and at arrival we got the worst table by the chef de service hinselfe although we are standing at the hôtel. Another couples arrived a few minutes later and got the table...I pointed out to the waiter. They only drank water, we are always having wine, but unfortunately they forgot to bring the second glass. So the restaurant lost turnover and we will Not go back tomorrow night. We did not feel appreciated. A shame that in a 5 Star hotel at these prices, you get such a Bad service and „accueil „. From the moment we checked in for our reservations we received stellar service. Our waiter was friendly and willing to answer all questions about the history of the restaurant. I recommend the duck - it was so scrumptious. There is a full bar as well....And dessert was enough to shareMore

While our waiter was great, the atmosphere was very loud, food over priced, the special was $98! We lived in NYC for a very long time and very few restaurants have dishes at $98, and with a much better quality. The Risotto in the special...wasn't cooked properly, too raw, the shrimp tasted like it was bought cooked and frozen and then reheated. We also had send back the octopus because it tasted and smelled spoiled. Our bill was for two people was $200 for one appetizer, one small plate (2nd was returned), on main course (we shared), 1 dessert, 1 tea and 1 martini. Celebrated with friends for a wedding anniversary. Restaurant has been updated it is nice and has a beach clean vibe. Lots of white with large pillars. Menu is seafood focused but also has nice fillet and lamb chop option. Shared plates are very small portions...and over priced for amount served. The dishes taste good but it is a small plate of food for 2 people to share. Wine list and full liquor bar available. corkage is $25 per bottle. Good option if you stay at the resort.More

Went to Maritana to celebrate my daughter's birthday. On arrival we were greeted by the receptionist at the restaurant who said he did not know how to check about parking and referred us to the hotel front desk. Dinner service was poor with the waiter...reaching across the table several times when placing and removing food. Environment was noisy and the dress policy of "smart casual" was not maintained with guests eating in athletic shorts. Seafood pasta was over smothered in sauce with only two small shrimp and clams for the seafood. Birthday was recognized with a swirl of whipped cream with a candle stuck in it. Service and food was not up to par for the high priced menu.More

Upon entering the restaurant I immediately sensed it was noisy... Our service was v good.I had to return part of my main course because the pototas we're not cooked... A replacement was offered, declined. No discount was offered...@ $200 for 2 of us I expected...something impressive., It was not!!!More

Went for my wife’s 50th birthday whilst staying at the Don Cesar. They got my message about this and we were warmly greeted and offered a complementary glass of champagne - very nice. I had the steak and my wife the Red Snapper. Both were...excellent, the portions were not too big and over facing. They were very nicely presented and both delicious. The service was excellent - attentive staff that were friendly and engaging from start to finish. The restaurant itself has a touch of class about it. We sat in one of the booths and enjoyed the ambience. There is a small private dining space in the restaurant (think it was for 8-10 people) and that really looked great. I would definitely eat here again, in fact have booked for a second meal before we leave.More

This restaurant positions itself as high-end but sadly falls short of the mark. The prices are high-end but when making recommendations the server recommended the most expensive of everything to the point where it was obvious. The food was nice but mostly there were too...many things going on on the plate. We were rushed through our dinner with entrees coming out while we were still finishing our appetisers. We had to push our appetiser plates into the middle of the table for the entree plates to be put down! Our bill was $150 for a shared appetiser, 2x entrée and 2x glasses of wine. Prior to dinner we had a drink in the lobby bar and the bar tender was helpful at selecting the appropriate rum for my old fashioned and gin for my partners martini. She was definitely a 5* employee! We went back to the bar after dinner but it was swamped and not enough bar staff were working to cope with the volume of (quite drunk!) people. We did get a drink and found a lovely quiet spot by the beach to drink them. Our total spend was about €275 including the bar drinks. Overall it’s worth a visit but you won’t be missing out if you don’t.More

We honeymooned here >10years ago and have been back several times. We always enjoy the food here and this time took it to a new level. While it seemed a bit out of season to have a “fall” menu, I ordered the butternut salad and...the pork chop. My husband got the crab/caviar ravioli and the seafood pasta. My salad was large enough to share and was deliciously seasoned. Chunks of butternut squash were tossed with delicate and slightly bitter greens with goat cheese. The pork was brined, tender, huge and perfectly done, served over amazing polenta. My husband liked both of his dishes. He thought the amount of seafood on his pasta was rather microscopic for the cost of the meal. We took dessert to go which was a chocolate covered light cheesecake. Delicious! Two meals with 4 glasses of wine was just under $300. Pricey but delicious. One consideration-after remodeling, the place is really loud. I don’t love having to yell to hear my dining partner.More
