After a day out on Caya Costa, my wife wanted fish and chips. The only place around Punta Gorda to give an authentic Irish pub F&C dinner was the Celtic Ray. Its a neat place to go and the food was good and prices were reasonable. We tried Fort Myers brewery Chocolate peanut-butter beer. It had a unique taste and... More

The best meal of our holidays so far. Fish, chips and mushy peas to die for. Lots of choices on the menu, although Shepards pie is made with lamb, not beef, thats cottage pie. But who cares, stick with the fish and chips.

We tried the Scottish Eggs for our starters, they were really good. The cold beer was great as well. My mom had the fish and chips and they were fresh and hot. I had the shepard's pie it was very good as well. I think that we all favored the guiness stew, it was excellent. Service was very fast and... More

I met friends here for lunch. I wasn't familiar with the restaurant probably because I'm not Irish and didn't seek it out. But my lunch of baked egg was very good and nicely prepared and presented. I believe they are well known for their fish and chips and seeing the large portions being served, I can see why. If in... More

This place is our "comfort food" go-to. The fish and chips are excellent. The pasties are incredible. Bangers and mashers are awesome. You must try the Scotch Eggs. Really a nice place with friendly staff and owners.

We come here several times a year and have usually been quite happy with our experience. This last time, there were a number of "misses". The Breton chicken in puff pastry was almost all pastry and sauce with little else. Same with the Tandoori Pasty that had a delicious sauce, but only 2 tiny pieces of meat. We got a... More

Was excited to see they had opened thier new kitchen on my last visit to Punta Gorda. had been wanting to try the Beef Vindaloo for some time. I was less than impressed and more than disappointed. It was gritty, bitter and nasty. The Naan Bread that came with it was soggy. (Make me wonder if they have even SEEN... More

Description
FAILTE! [WELCOME!]

The Celtic Ray Public House in downtown Punta Gorda opened in 1997 by Proprietor Kevin Doyle. At the time there wasn’t a single establishment in the area that offered a variety of quality imported beers and the atmosphere of a traditional Irish Pub. We serve only high-quality imported draught beers, bottled beers, ciders, fine wines, as well as, a selection of “soft” beverages. We also have expanded with the ‘other side’ and now have a full liquor bar! Our menu features traditional Irish Pub favorites made from fresh ingredients and family recipes.

The Celtic Ray’s Fish & Chips are famous worldwide!
See you at the Ray, Slainte!
