We stopped after spending the morning at the Wagon Wheel Flea Market next door. We sat in the outdoor area over the river, enjoying the kayakers paddling by. Fried green tomatoes, fried chicken hearts and of course their jambalaya! Yum! And leave room or at least get a portion to go of the whiskey bread pudding!!! Been here many times... More

There is a large selection of Cajun items on the menu. There whiskey bread pudding is to die for. If you like, sit outside near the bayou and enjoy the friendly environment, Cajun food and great craft beers.

I have been eating the Cajun food here for several years. The atmosphere is laid back, the been plentiful, and I have not had a dish where the food was not great. And don't forget the bread pudding for dessert if you have room at the end.

I've been wanting to visit this place for five years and I finally did! It doesn't look like a very appealing place to eat and I had to convince my group of six to go inside. They were all pleasantly surprised. We sat inside, but you can also sit outside overlooking the water. I ordered gator bites to share and... More

The food was very good but the whiskey bread pudding for dessert stole the show. We split it between 5 people and all where happy. I got the red rice and beans burritos very good and my wife got the fried crawfish tails and ate every bite. Large craft beer selection also

Enjoyed the food at this restaurant immensely. I love Cajun food - étouffé, boudin, crawfish, all so tasty. It felt like I was in New Orleans again. They order in their hot sauce straight from Louisiana. You must save room for the 1 dessert on the menu - Whisky Bread Pudding - delicious. We had good service however it took... More

Every year when I visit Tampa, I have to eat here. Every year, I say I'm going to get something that's not too spicy, and this year I got the spicy alligator piquet plate. It was really spicy...and it was awesome. They have great food here. My wife gets the crawfish etufee (I don't know how to spell it) and... More

I enjoyed the laid back atmosphere. The staff was friendly and professional. The menu screams cajun. It may have been good but I am just not a cajun fan

First off, the service was, as suggested by a previous poster, strangely slow. There aren't all that many menu items, though the ones that are there are certainly intriguing; it's hard to figure why Etouffé would take a long time, in that one would expect there to be a big pot of it simmering in the kitchen. The food was... More
