The food is totally wrongly manage. All the food at the stove is uncover and the place is full of flies! When I visit the place with my wife I try to eat at the place but it was totally impossible because you have to keep fighting with the flies. The screen door at the entrance don't work properly at... I was born in Los Angeles. Does that make me a Mexican food expert? No, but I would presume better than most. I know crunchy tacos didn't come from Mexico. Regardless, I loved the menu albeit they lacked fresh cilantro and other spices that are important in having the "real Mexican" taste that I'm used to. Prices are very reasonable... More

We had a wonderful lunch at Taco Rock. I had steak tacos and my wife had chicken enchiladas. Everything was very tasty. Don't let the less-than-pristine appearance of the building keep you from eating what is probably the best, most authentic Mexican food in Pensacola.

We like Taco Rock. Taco Rock had a loyal clientele, ordering out and eating in both. All the menu is on a huge chalk board above the counter where you order, and there is indoor seating and outdoor seating, but not a whole lot. The food is really good. I like the burrito Loco, but there are so many good... More

I was staying in the area and used their drive thru to pick up a Tamale Plate and a Taco al Pastor. So, for $10 I got a pork tamale, a chicken tamale, beans, rice and a taco. The meat to masa ratio in the tamals was great. Both meats were shredded and well spiced. The al Pastor was really... More

I was told that this place had outstanding Mexican food. It seems really over-priced, and it looks not too great driving up. My friend got one taco for about $5.00. There are several Mexican restaurants in Pensacola, Milton, and Pace, with complete table service and really authentic Mexican dishes and desserts that would leave this place "on the rocks." Not my... Taco Rock is hidden on Highwasy 29, North near a used car lot. Has seatinh but limited AC. It's as aauthentic Mexican food as I can remeber and I spent a lot of time along the Rio Grande. Antique TV has Mexican programs and football. Owner/Chef prepares most items from scratch. Good food served quickly at a fair price. You... More

Building is run down so it made me a little nervous, but I tried it because of the positive reviews. we were not dissapointed at all. It was the best Mexican food I have had in a long time...fresh and authentic. Prices were cheap enough that I tried a few different things. Try the tamales if nothing else.
