We ate here because we were told it was good sea food. Oh my goodness it has great sea food and fresh out of the gulf!!! We ate here 2 days in a roll. We will go back next time we are staying in Florida. Great place to eat!!

This is a stripped down, local fried food café. Two of our party had the Mullet, another had the grilled skewered shrimp, I had the fried shrimp - we all enjoyed our fish, the sides leave a lot to be desired, but you don't go there for the sides! Our server was young an surprisingly knowledgeable about the menu choices,... More

You should expect more from a seafood shack next door to a fish market. The breading is heavy; the fat is deep; atmosphere is lacking. The grouper and flounder was solidly over-cooked and dry. Mullet was surprisingly tasty, however. If you want a quick lunch, you're out of luck. Service is slow, as is the kitchen.

We had a family of four. Three of them got the grouper basket and the grouper was perfect. Very light and flaky with perfect breading. Okay, that's where the positive ends. I got the sea bass and got one piece that was off by a day or two, no big deal. It wasn't great but was edible. The second piece... More

Thanks for sharing your experience. I am glad we are getting these reviews. We are ranked highly by customers and I think that is important to keep in mind. We run a limited supply of Sea Bass, and other items, to make sure it's always as fresh as possible. Fish is fishy and there are always stronger smelling and tasting... More

Captain Joey patti's was super busy on the rainy day we decided to eat there for lunch. The restaurant seemed to be filled many locals who must frequent it often. The servers were all friendly and found us a table quickly and took our order. Our food was delivered quickly and was hot out of the grease.. Shrimp and scallops.... More

My husband and I took a trip to Pensacola and decided to stop off for some fresh local seafood. Trip advisor listed Joe Patty's as 5 Stars, and we were close, we decided to go. First off, if you're unfamiliar with the area, you do not know that there is a seafood market and restaurant. Both are separate. No one... More

Sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy your experience at the restaurant. We have been serving the Gulf Coast for 29 years this October and our menu hasn't changed much. We are offering more grilled items and are close to having grilled fish tacos on the menu. I think a lot of guests enjoy coming to the restaurant and trying... More

Based on the reviews we tried this local seafood restaurant after visiting Joe Patti's Seafood market. The hostess was bored and not a friendly sort. Although service was good they had no crab of any kind left even though it was lunch. The gumbo was very good but all our fish was greasy and not that tasty. Very disappointed. Won't... More

Dined here prior to selecting fresh catch offerings next door at Joe Patti's Seafood market. Both were highly recommended. Market was GREAT, lunch was so-so.Young hostess displayed the 'I wanna be anywhere but here' attitude. Our waitress approached, spoke, and walked away while saying what she's likely said for the last 30 years, as if on an audio 'loop'. A... More

The best hush puppies I have ever had, hands down. The shrimp was amazing and so was the basa. A hole in the wall local place that's well worth it.

Description
We take fresh gulf Coast seafood, fry it to perfection and serve it to you with a smile. We are hoping to have a grill installed soon but we do have a lot of non-fiction menu items available. We do not use any heat lamps here at the restaurant so everything is served fresh.
