Nice place to eat or just get a drink while in Universal. Fast food but not alot of variety, gets very busy!

We purchased the quick service meal plan while at Universal. The first day the 7 of us stopped in at Mel's for burgers and shakes! The meals were prepared well, served hot and in short order. Go around 11:30 AM to avoid the lunch rush!
Not that many seats inside but managed to grab one before the rain came down outside and dragged even more people inside. The order service was very efficient and the food, quickly delivered, was tasty and hot. The music and the theming is really good,...More

Overpriced, but what theme park restaurant isn't. Long lines during peak times. The positives are that they are fairly efficient at getting people through quickly and the food has decent flavor for being mass produced. Nice oldies to listen to while you eat. If you're...More
Even though the neon signs do not match the ones in the movie, the rest of the place does a great job in capturing the feel of the diner in the movie. The food is what it is but the ambiance is great. Make sure...More
We always make sure that we stop here for lunch while at universal studios. Food is great, service is friendly and fast, and the atmosphere is always positive and upbeat. Definitely recommend this spot!
Loved the hamburgers and the view. We watched the parade go by. Not sure why they try to sell root beer floats with soft serve ice cream--doesn't make sense to me, but they do. We avoided that.
Ducked in quickly to avoid thunderstorms and hunger. Chicken sandwich was average. Rest of family said hamburgers were o.k. But not really good. The best was the coke float.
