Poor selection of "Snack" credits to use on the disney dining plan. Frequently not enough employees working (1 cashier, long lines). Felt dark and old.

Out family thought that the food and service here was good. We only ate breakfast here due to eating out at other places for the other meals.

There is not a lot of selection here and from what there is, we had very little that was very good. Breakfast was the best (Tonga toast and Mickey waffles!). Lunch/dinner was not that great. The big kahuna sandwich is honestly disgusting. The coconut meatballs...More

I ate at Captain Cooks several times during my recent stay at the Polynesian resort. Though my visit here a few months ago was a bit disappointing, I still believe this is one of the better counter service options on Disney property. I had breakfast...More

My Husband and I stayed at the Poly and ate here twice. For lunch we had the coconut meatballs and the pork nachos. Meatballs were ok, kind of bland and flavorless, but the pork nachos were excellent! Would have them again for sure! For breakfast...More

Had lunch here in February and food was served very quickly. For the cost it is very good and plenty of it. It can get very busy and there are a few tables both inside and outside. You can also take in away if needed.

We recently stayed at the Polynesian resort and ate at Captain Cook's several times for breakfast and dinner. First of all, they open at 6:30 am, which made it convenient to eat quickly before going to the parks early. Second, the food is quite good....More

We stopped in Tuesday night for a quick bite at the counter service, unfortunately it was extremely busy maybe because of luau that just ended. I guess overall it’s still a very good place and clean place to eat the cast member to take care...More

Almost every trip to Disney, we purposely try to stop at Captain Hook's at the Polynesian so we can get our fill of Tonga Toast for substantially less than the table service version upstairs. Captain Cook's is the Polynesian resort's quick service restaurant and can...More

The staff here are very friendly, even when it's busy. They are constantly wiping tables, filling condiments and making sure the guests have what they need. The food is good...not the best at WDW but it's not the worst. It was hard to find something...More

As previous contributors have stated, no need for tickets to the theme parks to visit the resorts, the pool areas at The Poly and The Grand Floridian are for guests only and need a room card to enter. If you park at the... More

Yes there is chicken nuggets available, but they are only on the kids menu. Not sure if you can get them as a regular meal. If you want them as a regular meal, I recommend just getting two orders.

They no longer have or sell it in Captain Cook's, but they opened a restaurant called Pineapple L'anai (don't know if I spelled it right) that only serves dole whips and is directly outside of Captain Cook's
