Stay away! Rude service, food only so-so and no tequila in our margaritas. Our server did not want to be at work or wait on us. He made us feel as if we were a bother to be in his restaurant. We will not be...More

We’ve been on most of the Captiva Cruise options over several years. Some of them we’ve taken several times. Everyone we’ve taken is fun and informative. The guides give good information about the history of the area and the wildlife we see. Our favorite is...More

If you want to enjoy a meal straight from the beach this is a good place to go. There are picnic tables set up outside that you can sit at. It's nothing fancy but the food is good. The service was very quick and the...More

This is fine in a pinch but when you order nachos you need more than a couple of shreds. The margaritas were okay but not great. One stand out was the shrimp in romaine lettuce leaves. Very refreshing.

The relaxed atmosphere was great. We sat outside and it was great with the breeze. The waiter was attentive and kept us well watered. My wife had the Homemade Guacamole. We ordered the Nachos plate with beef and chicken. The Margaritas were good. Nice leisurely...More

I gave this restaurant a 3 even though the food was very good and staff efficient and friendly. I totally disagree with their practice of having patrons affix dollar bills to the walls. In my opinion it is such a waste of money and blasphemous...More

Good Mexican food served quickly. Good margaritas and chips-n-salsa! The restaurant is adorned with thousands of dollar bills that customers decorate or write in and attach to the walls, ceiling, posts, EVERYWHERE, inside and out! Fun place to eat and a nice option for something...More

Enjoyed the lunch on outside picnic table. Slow service but really who cares when your relaxed and on vacation. Take the time to hang out with family or friends enjoying the chips and great salsa. Guacamole is good too! I was solo so was reading...More

Cantina Captiva has excellent chips and salsa. Th chips were very fresh and the salsa had an excellent flavor. My entree portion was smaller which I liked because after the chips I definitely felt full. If you have an extra dollar bill staple it to...More

With only 2 options for Mexican food on the island, we choose this one. The atmosphere is super cool but the food isn’t all that great. Their chips are obviously out of a bag, the rice was seriously under cooked - it nearly broke my...More

Description
Enjoy a spicy and unique atmosphere while savoring the fine Mexican and Southwestern cuisine at Cantina Captiva. Try our homemade guacamole - “The green stuff!” It's made fresh daily. Served with a side of pico de gallo, and warm corn tortilla chips or perhaps you prefer something a little spicier? We've got you covered with our stuffed cheese jalapeno poppers served with a side of fiesta ranch dressing. Looking for a salad to suit your fancy? Choose a taco salad or a fajita salad with your choice of chicken breast, steak or shrimp on top of crisp lettuce topped with lots of goodies. Of course, we have the traditional Mexican food favorites like fajitas, enchiladas, tacos, and burritos. Feeling more non-traditional? Choose our chef's favorites - Shrimp Diablo – Gulf Shrimp sautéed with our chef’s secret chipotle marinade, or Tequila-Lime Shrimp. Complement your meal with a choice of imported or domestic beers or perhaps an icily refreshing margarita!
