I normally do not rant and rave about an establishment, but you cannot beat the amazing cuban bakery experience at Karla Bakery. The guava, guava cheese, coconut, meat and ham cheese pastelitos. Their Torticas de Moron are the best in town, all of the desserts are made fresh everyday, have you tried their cuban bread, one loaf will not be... More

Good sandwiches with a local clientele and few tourists. Modest prices BUT It helps if you speak spanish. I watched a tourist try to get a hot chocolate in english without success before I stepped in and helped him.

Stopped in for a late breakfast. Ordered the croissant sandwich combo which included fries and a latte. Husband had an omelet breakfast sandwich combo. We also ordered a ham and cheese empanada. Our combos were ok, but not good and certainly nothing special. Very large portions, not much flavor, too much bread. The empanada was terrible, extremely greasy and tasted... More

We ate here on our way to the airport. It is a nice, small Cuban place. They have tasty, and by the way huge, sandwiches and pastry. I can definitely suggest the Cuban sandwich combo. It will probably be too much for one person so will get a doggy bag right away aside. It will be indeed much easier to... More

We hadn't been to Miami for many years and one of the things I was looking forward to was getting a delicious Cuban sandwich. I had high expectations and was disappointed by the bland seasoning of the sandwich. We ended up wasting 1-1/2 huge sandwiches. I thought that maybe it was us and we had forgotten what Cuban sandwiches should... More

Empanadas are wonderful. Some of the desserts were a little dry. Most of the staff did not speak English, so I had to point at what I wanted.

All day long I had been craving an empanada - finally on my way home, I happen to be get off on Flagler St. because traffic was driving me nuts (and sort off accidentally - gotta love Miami traffic!) - and so, I saw Karla Bakery, and I stopped. I was not only dying for an empanada, but to get... More
