Garcia's was recommended by out AirBnB Hostess. It is on a canal and eating outside is very comfortable. Lots of sea gulls but the cover over the eating area holds them at bay. The swallows come in but they are not a bother. We stopped in for lunch and I had a disappointing Clam Chowder. I think the clam must... More

This was the best restaurant on our trip to Miami. My wife went as far as saying this was the best seafood she has ever had !!! Make sure you get a table outside - beautiful setting right on the miami river. In terms of parking, we just did valet for a minimal price of $5 (for dinner)

Charming restaurant in the heart of downtown Miami, on the water. Casual, family owned and operated. Our service and food were awesome! The owner, Louie was a gracious host with wonderful stories of his father, the restaurant's history and loyal staff over the years. For many years, Garcia's was one of the few restaurants on the River. Now it's and... More

See the title. No need to elaborate. Unfriendly demeanor from the waitstaff. The balcony had an odor of something rotting below, but that may have been coming from the waterway. After dinner, we left hungry and immediately began looking for somewhere else to eat. Parking attendant was not friendly, but he was efficient.

We heard a lot about this place and decided to check it out (I really love seafood). Parking was tight, so we utilized the valet parking at the door. Located on the river, we went upstairs where we were greeted by a hostess who immediately guided us to an outdoor table on the patio. Great view of the river, but... More

The recent poor reviews of the service at Garcia's concerned us but we decided to give it a try. We were seated right away but no one came to take our drink order for 5+ minutes. When he finally arrived I ordered a Coke and our meals. I never got my Coke and we never saw our waiter again until... More

When Stone Crab Claw season hits consider this place. Very informal and relaxed. The dining is upstairs and overlooks the river. Fun to watch the boats go by, both working and pleasure craft. The crab claws were fantastic with a locally made mustard sauce to die for. The mahi-mahi was excellent too. Cooked perfectly. They only have beer and wine,... More

Garcia's was recommended to us as the place where locals go for fresh seafood and we were not disappointed. We sat on the patio overlooking the Miami river which was enjoyable. The conch fritters were good, but the fried clams were better. For the main course, we had butterfly fish in a rich sauce smothered with a mild cheese. Evidently... More

Woow..Garcia knows what he's doing..awesome food, fresh fish, great atmosphere and service was very amicable. I had stone crab, delicious, grilled shrimp, awesome and a whole fish amazingly fried. I heard they get too busy on weekends and don't accept reservations. We arrived after 4PM on a Saturday and it was fine, so I guess this place is better suited... More

Bar staff at our hotel recommended this place for oysters, so we Lyft'd our way over..... It's ok. Oysters were ok, nothing to go out of your way for. Seemed more like a locals spot filled with regulars who might know the staff or something, but I couldnt gather why this place came so highly recommended. The oysters were small,... More
