From the west coast not the land of the very best barbecue and we had just left the Everglades on our way to Miami and our friend who is local said this is where we stop for lunch, not the best but very good. Had the pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw and beans with the house sauce and it was... More

Been eating there for 20 years. The old owners were great, best rib bits ever and they had good all around Q. The new owners, smaller portions, higher prices,

Love coming here; a bit of old Florida with uniquely diverse South Florida; from Gator & Frog Legs to frijoles. Very family friendly place.

Stopped on our way out of the Everglades. DON'T order BBQ pork tidbits - WAY TOO TOUGH. Before ordering I asked the waitress what was the difference between the tidbits and the ribs and she said it was preference ( Not every descriptive so thought it was rib tidbits off the bone). Anyway, don't order them! You have to chew... More

First be aware that this placed does not accept credit card they don't tell you so you wont walk away and the front door does not say cash only. It does say all credit card accepted. They conveniently have an ATM machine inside the restaurant (clue #1). They also add the tip in (clue #2). When we went to pay... More

We have been here a couple of times. We had the pulled pork, which was good. The corn on the cob is really good! There are quite a few choices on the menu. Good place to stop.

Had not been to The Pit in 20 years & looking forward to eating there. HUGE mistake & Disappointment! I honestly don't know how they are opened for business? The food is terrible, the place is dirty, the servers are rude and you have to pay CASH! They want to make sure they get your $$ because they know you... More

A side of the road very basic establishment, that is very overpriced for food and services rendered. The food is ok, but it's very loud and the people who go, appear to enjoy the very loud latin music and hot atmosphere. Several better places to buy a slab of baby-backs for $24.99 without any side dish. I definitely will not... More

I ate here twice in May (May 5th and May 16th) because it is "old Florida", a decent enough menu, and one of the few places to eat if you are traveling west from Miami to airboat rides near Krome Ave (Route 41/Tamiami Trail) or to Shark Valley National Park. (It's a few minutes east of Krome Ave and about... More
