I went here with my family because it was a highly recommended restaurant and we were new to the island. The restaurants appearance was very nice and welcoming. However, the food was very undesirable. My father got a seafood pasta and the sauce was practically...More

Beware similar names restaurant but different locations; this one is located in the town in a residential area . They do offer indoor/outdoor seatings with private space for small parties; the decor has been recently updated but not contemporary with parking. We took advantage of...More

We liked the quaint atmosphere and indoor/outdoor seating options. We started our server off on a good note so we got good service in return. The $20 meals were delicious, different, fresh, and filling enough. I️ would have liked to try the 1/4# prawns but...More

My wife and I had the Lobster Bisque for starters as it comes highly acclaimed by locals. I wouldn't say it's the best ever, but certainly up there. My wife had the Jumbo Prawns for dinner but not sure they measure up to the billing...More

Had the schrimp and scallops and it was really poorly done. The lobster bisque is great but not enough to offset entre.

We were told by a native Marco Islander about Cafe de Marco's Throw Back Thursday menu. Twelve items are 1980s prices. The atmosphere is very nice with the lighting, stained glass, cobalt water glasses, and white table cloths. I ordered lobster bisque, Caesar salad, and...More

We always go to Cafe de Marco on the last day of our vacation. We love the Lobster Bisque. Also, the prawns are delicious. The staff is friendly and attentive.

Great location and very pretty. We were well served and entertained by their own typical New Yorker server (Didn't catch his name) The fish was excellent and the wine selection more than adequate. Will be back next time

I'm not sure if they are. I haven't traveled there in the winter. A place as great as it is, I wouldn't be surprised if they are open though.

Description
Tucked away in the northern most point of Old Marco is Cafe de Marco. An intimate bistro/cafe serving the most diverse selection of fresh seafood & other continental specialties since 1983. A favorite amongst locals & seasonal return visitors to Marco Island. Reservations are greatly appreciated. Olde Florida atmosphere in the historic district of Olde Marco. Perfect for an outstanding meal, business, or special occasion. Vast wine selection and beer available. Twilight specials and children's menu available. Owned and operated by same owner & family since starting out in 1983. Our building enjoys a rich piece of Marco history. The Cafe's building was the original quarters for the chamber maids employed by the historic Old Marco Inn just a few yards away. Many years ago the Inn functioned as a "bed & breakfast", and the maids would simply walk to work from our building. This explains the answer to a frequently asked question..."Was this an old house at one time?" Today, step inside to what has been transformed into an islander's tradition for over 30 years. We look forward to serving you soon! ~Sandy Franchino, Owner
