Great fish and even better ambiance! Great to have clarity in the menu choice and when it's gone it's gone! That's fresh fish! Fish bowl sized wine glasses...full! And even a fun bit of attitude thrown in by the wait staff/owner. Key lime pie...yummie! Just like Arnold says 'I'll be back!'

Chlorine-soaked shrimp from Vietnam and other farm source are served at Walt'z. Avoid if you care about see food. Consider real, local frutti del mare at, say shrimpie - or other non-cheating restaurants.

We discovered Walt's Fish Shak last year and once we did, we've eaten there 5 times! Adorable, quirky little place at the end of John's Pass Village that has a sandwich board on the porch featuring the menu of the evening. What's on the board is what they have - you can't order a burger and fries - just what's... More

We had the Scamp dinner and a bowl of chowder with the smoked fish spread. All very good. This was a little pricey, but not terribly high. We would go back.

The fish was prepared 3 ways for our group. Blackened, lightly breaded and fried. It was so very fresh you could tell it was taken off a boat that day. Pricey, but worth every cent!!

There is no menu, because they only serve what could be termed the "catch of the day." When we went, it was several choices, but I only remember the red snapper we ordered. There were two different preparations, blackened and seared. And we each chose a different one. They were both good. It comes with, I believe, rice and salad... More

located in John's Pass and there was a seafood festival when we went. Folks walking everywhere. Cold beer was very good. Appetizers were perfect and so was the fresh catch. Perhaps the best was the atmosphere and the folks/servers at Walts....hell even Walt was there and glad to talk to folks. Good price/very good value...We will be back and will... More

I was in the area with my girlfriends for the weekend and stopped by Waltz's Fish Shak. We got the last table outside, make sure you get there early as they fill up fast. We had the fish salad and black bean hummis for appetizers. I had the blackened snapper, coleslaw salad and rice. Best meal during our whole weekend.... More

We were Reccommended this place by someone who worked locally. He said their fish was fresh off the boat. We had our dog with us so I asked if we could eat outside with him. We were told yes, then as we approached another lady very rudely said NO DOGS ANYWHERE!!!! So I let my sis take the dog back... More
