Loved the hot sauce in the table. And the salsa was good but I thought the chips were too thick. The cheese enchiladas were different since made with white cheese instead of cheddar but good. I thought the chili relleno was great. No bar.
My family and I waited a while to try Armando's Mexican Bar and Grill, we had heard about a few negative experiences based on wait time. Word of mouth on the food was encouraging. So we thought we gave them ample time to work out...those early issues. Unfortunately, it seems those were not new restaurant growing pains and instead par for the course.
We called in our order and was told 20-25 minutes. We arrived at the half hour mark, trying to give them ample time. We ended up still having to wait another half hour for our food and the restaurant was not busy, by any means. Once we received order the food was very good though, so they do have that going for them.
If you choose to go be sure to leave yourself plenty of time.More
Place is still ironing out kinks but if you know what to order from the extensive menue, you can't go wrong. Order the different fajitas or the Cuban sandwhich and you will be satisfied. Give the place a try but don't be in a hurry...since the service at times, is slow. Open air bar is nice with plenty of drink selections.More
Good breakfast but nothing special. Steak, eggs, hash browns and toast. I guess "over medium" for cooking eggs means something different in Florida as I got scrambled. No matter, I was hungry and the eggs were seasoned well.
I can recommended the Margaritas. The food, not so much.
I understand that a large group will slow down service (not ours), but we were on our third round of drinks before our orders came out. The beans were chopped out of a can, the...guac had whole pieces of avocado in it, the meat was overcooked and the cheese sauce looked like fondue.More
This place is terrible. It took 10 minutes for us to order. None of the waitresses even acknowledged us. Finally the owner came and took our very simple order. When he brought the food out it was the wrong order. We decided to keep it...because it had taken so long. I got the bill, after I had to wave someone down like I was in kindergarten trying to get a teachers attention. They charged me for the meal I ordered but didn’t receive. After waiting another ten minutes to have someone change it. And being ignored we paid an left. The wait staff clearly don’t care about the customers.. we stared several down to get them to come over and they purposely ignored us. I won’t be going back!More
Stopped there for lunch on our way through town, considered not stopping because of a bad review but decided to stop and to try it anyway. We were seated immediately, our waitress met us at the table, took our drink order and returned with delicious...salsa and chips. When she brought our drinks she took our order and our lunch was delivered quite quickly. We both ordered the chicken fajitas. We were satisfied with our lunch and very satisfied with the service and staff. We will return for lunch when traveling through town again. We did not experience any of the issues as the previous reviewer did.More
