This place was disappointing. Food quality is good, but service and ambience are below average. The restaurant has a lot of history, but the actual locale is in pretty poor shape.

Went there in May 2017 for an anniversary. Still as quaint as when I was there 20 years before. To be motored over on a tender and spend time in a place as old as dirt. Can't beat the charm. Looks like it's about to...More

Recommended by a local that we visit the oldest restaurant in Broward county. You have to take a boat to the restaurant from the marina so that sounded kinda cool. Pros- it's different- it's kind of a step back in time and you get a...More

We were recommended to go to Cap's place by a local. It was very expensive for what we got. We got a crab cake for an appetizer, which was $18, It was pretty good but over priced. Our dinners were good but again over priced....More

Located as it is, most have to take Cap's launch to get to his Place, a novel experience in itself. Upon landing, you walk a short distance to what amounts to a cluster of shacks and go in one around the corner at the back...More

My husband and I were pleased with this unique dining experience! Although it is pretty pricey, it was probably the best seafood we have ever had. We met a very friendly staff person on the boat ride over. When we arrived, we checked out some...More

As a year round Florida resident I love Cap's. It is a former gambling and bootleg hideaway of Al Capone. The buildings are original, now lopsided, but intact, and a wonder to behold. The menu offers seafood and land based fare. Moderate to expensive pricing...More

Love Caps Place. We have stayed in the area for over 20 years and never knew about the place until two years ago, probably since it is not on a road but via boat. Been there several times since. Short boat ride with history lesson...More

We had reservations for a birthday dinner and pulled into a parking lot with a waiting boat. The ride was really cool and added to the wonder that is this place. When arriving to check in they told us our reservation was actually 30 minutes...More
