Wow...once again...thank you to my fellow Tripadvisor members for steering me in the right direction. Literally! Kept driving by this place for years, and ignored it. No longer. Both the hubs and I totally enjoyed our lunch. He had an excellent shrimp wrap that they...More

Just awesome, had the oyster sampler, chowder of the day and a crabby burger. The staff is so nice! Small portions though, no side with burgers, but still super tasty.

Always enjoy Herbies; I have a painting on my wall done by one of the local artists and stop always when in Marathon. I even met one of my old friends there. Little bar is enjoyable and the food is still the same.

We were staying nearby in Key Colony and looking to enjoy some local food. No chains here! First up was Herbie's and I thought if this is a preview of what we should look to expect, we're going to eat well. The chowder of course...More

recently went to dinner with my neighbor. Shannon was our server/bartender. Selection of beer is excellent. Dinner menu is creative and full of great choices that are difficult to make. I try to order something I have not had before and I am never disappointed.

Excellent food, selection of craft brews, and information on the enviable life that is and can be had by just pulling up stakes and moving down to the Keys. Definitely will return!

Herbies was a delight! They offer traditional "Keys" type food, but their forte is offering unique delicacies. They even had elk! They have seating in the room with the bar, or in the seperate dining room. Decorated for the Keys, Herbies is a delighful place.

We stumbled on this place while driving through Marathon on a Sunday morning. First thing you notice the clean smell. The second thing was how wonderful the owners hustled greeting and serving. This place has all kinds of beer but my favorite thing was the...More

Hi! We offer a chicken and smashed potato on our menu. While somewhat similar to Nashville style given the marinating in our own buffalo sauce and buttermilk, it is not as hot as it's Nashville cousin. The other sinful... More

Yes we do! While our main room appears more like a bar setting, we are exceptionally kid friendly here.

Description
Herbies is the oldest operating restaurant in the Heart of the Florida Keys! Having been established in the late 1940's under the name Maggie's Chowder House, it has become a landmark restaurant and continued local favorite. While the restaurant is well established, the only thing old school about the menu is the fact that everything is prepared from scratch here, and that includes grinding our own grass fed beef, conch, sausage, and hot dogs (when available). And, our beer selection is unmatched from Miami to Key West. All on tap craft beer. No, you will not find a National branded beer here, but you will find true American fresh craft beer along with some exceptionally fine wines all poured by the glass. So, don't let the Florida road side shack appearance fool you! Come on in and enjoy some of the best food in the Heart of the Keys!
