Oh my goodness. Trio appetizer and trio entree were amazing. The yellow tail was great and the service was excellent, as always. We come here several times a year as we have a second home here in Paradise, and it is always one of the first restaurants we visit. You can't go wrong!

Excellent service, ambiance and food!! The moment we walked in we were greeted by a wonderful friendly host (I'm sorry, I can't remember his name). Our waiter (Jay) was excellent and recommended a wonderful appetizer trio of lobster mac and cheese, grilled shrimp and caprese salad. All were amazing as they were made with very fresh ingredients. Dinner was also... More

This place is not downtown but on a residential street. I like a small cozy quiet restaurant and this was perfect. Our waiter Brian was perfect. We had the trio appetizer of shrimp, lobster mac and capriese salad . Excellent . We choice the trio entree of snapper, shrimp and lobster thermidor. Only the thermidor was not to my liking.... Reservations a must for this busy season. Brian greeted us and seated us on the porch. Joey, our friendly server, was prompt and helpful with our special choices. We had mahi-mahi and snapper with wonderful different salsas. Need to put this place up top of the list for phenomenal Key West dining!

My husband and I and another couple enjoyed a great seafood meal at Flaming Buoy Filet Co. There was a special that evening with tastes of 3 entrees for a very reasonable price. I thought we may get a bite of each, but the servings were big enough I took some home. The shrimp was the best ever; the lobster... More

Special vacation Birthday for my wife. Brian and Jay made it very special for us. Candles and birthday well wishes. Tried appetizer sampler and then had entree sampler. Seven different items including lobster thermador, mahi mahi over mashed potatoes , Shrimp over red curry, lobster mac and cheese highlighted the wonderful taste experience. Finished up with stir fried tropical fruit... More

We were disappointed in the fresh fish. Based on their website and the great reviews on TripAdvisor we were expecting something fabulous, but what we got was something else. My wife ordered the pan seared fish and I got the grilled. We both thought it was kind of bland and I also felt mine was over cooked. It wasn't awful,... More

Yes! The food is delicious, fresh and classic with a fun twist. Every dish has a story, which makes everyone want to talk about their own favorites from childhood. (Although I wish my family had the idea to make little mini muffins with broccoli inside). BUT....the best part is the amazing people that own and work there- little did we... More

Description
An "only in Key West" restaurant, The Flaming Buoy Filet Co. makes a statement on the hushed stage of a residential neighborhood. It is one part retro supper club, one part sassy corner bistro, and one part highly personal whim. Fred Isch, self-proclaimed Air Force Brat, grew up in every geographic segment of the country with a mother who loved cooking and collecting recipes. His partner, Scot Forste, grew up on the farm where his mother, bored of city life, spontaneously relocated to get back to the land, breed horses, and grow fresh, healthy food. Every recipe on the Flaming Buoy menu is an interpretation of something Fred or Scot ate at their respective family tables. Local additions, like seafood, tropical fruits, and Cuban flavors reinterpret the nostalgia, and the result grabbed the attention of the New York Times in 2011. Whether from a porch seat next to pots of herbs, or inside a white dining room accented in orange, dining the Flaming Buoy way is delicious and fun.
