Jimbo's the restaurant was a fine institution for years because Jimbo is such a great guy. But, he decided to retire and the City of Miami has closed this venue.

We ventured out to Jimbo's on April 14, 2012. We payed the $5 entrance fee to get into the park... only to find a fence erected around most of the remains of Jimbo's and "No Parking Anytime" signs all about. I'm bummed, I wanted to...More

Bike over to Virginia Key on a sunny afternoon and you will be rewarded by an ice cold can of brew sold straight out of a shipping container turned bar. This place appears to be a junkyard, but if you look closely you'll see it's...More

We have been to Jimbos twice, both times we have been to Florida. The fish is excellent, and the atmosphere is great. We were not too scared off to bring children back the second time. There is a pretty lagoon out back where we saw...More

It is not really a restaurant anymore - just a collection of shacks, piles of burning garbage, and tubs of ice cold beer. There is also a $5 charge to enter the area of Virginia Key where Jimbo's is located. Seek out other pleasure spots.

Jimbos has been around for a while and is a local shrimp fan favorite. The menu is mainly shrimp, and beer. good place, dingy but as casual as it gets. One of Miami's landmark places.
