Nice place in a converted warehouse-type building. Food was good as was the service. We had the crawfish pie that contained small shrimp as well as crawfish in a creamy stock of diced bacon, celery and onions with heavy cream topped with a cornbread mixture with SMALL pieces of andouille sausage. Very tasty. Only problem was that they would not... More

Portions are large here, so we asked to split the $20 Grouper Mardi Gras dish. The kitchen divided our order into two plates, nice! $4 wines during HH was good, and service was friendly. Fried green tomatoes was a hearty appetizer. On pleasant evenings you can sit on the sidewalk patio. Bar area looked like fun.

Lovely food! great service! Visited with my 2 kids for dinner whilst in town for family wedding. Our server was friendly and helpful when we enquired about different dishes. She had the perfect balance of attentiveness without been too intrusive. Food was great, we all enjoyed our meals.

It's good food, but a little to greasy and heavy compared to the Cajun food I am used to. It works for an outside New Orleans college town. YMWV.

I don't frequent Harry's as much as I used to, since I live farther away from it now. The food and atmosphere is very good...I especially like the jambalaya. There is a negative for me, though. Since it is downtown, it is usually very, very busy on the weekends and is usually packed with students during the school (University of... More

Great food, great atmosphere, great location. What a treat this was. In the heart of old downtown with the outside seating area on the shady old side street we knew we were in old Florida. Food was fantastic and portion were a little to large frankly. Since we were just visiting Gainesville we could not take the leftovers with us😋... More

We ate at the Harry's in Tallahassee on our way to Florida last year and really enjoyed the meal so we decided to try the Gainesville restaurant. After a long day of driving we were tired and hungry and eager to eat. My husband had the royal redfish and I had fried oysters with an interesting corn dish. We topped... More
