HORCHATA!!! If you love this tasty beverage, El Indio is for you. It is absolutely delicious and I'm sure it's not the healthiest option. But who cares. You have to treat yoself! I love this place for their 3 enchilada combo. I get it almost every time I go. One of the things I'm not too crazy about is their... More

I usually enjoy their food (sometimes more than others) and there are definitely some cheaper options, but some of their items are overpriced for fast food.

Consistently satisfying , quality Mexican take out. Fresh ingredients, generous portions, broad menu, fast drive-up service. A staple backup supper plan the whole family can agree on, for locals with competing family obligations.

I have tried El Indio 3 times in my 10 years in Gainesville and each time was a disappointment. The last time I received food poisoning at no extra charge with my soggy tacos. Each time the food was not even worth the cheap price. Not even sure their beef is actually from cows. I hate Taco Bell and their... More

I am no vegetarian but I could eat an El Indio veggie quesadillo daily. Black beans, guacomale, tomatoes, onions, cilantro, sour cream, and of course melted cheese, with great homemade salsa. I can never pass them up to try anything else. My husband feels the same way about the soft shell shredded beef tacos.

El Indio doesn't pull any punches, serving straight-up tacos, burritos, nachos and more, the way you'd expect them to be served, at super reasonable prices. It's the type of tacos you'd make at home on taco night, prepared fresh and fast. Tempeh and veggies are optional substitutions for just about everything, and just say "no dairy" to veganize it.

A few years ago it was just ok. The food is actually kind of bad but the price was right. Now all menu prices have gone up at least 2 bucks so don't bother going here its a waste of time. Try La Tienda on south 13th if you want Mexican food.

I have been to both locations often and the food is always excellent. Prepared fresh and on the spot, I have never been disappointed. The food is always the same, so I know what to expect. Some places I have been, the food varies depending upon who is in the kitchen at that time. El Indio food is always held... More

Went to the location by the Y and have been back multiple times, love the burritos. Friendly staff, clean, older setup, very casual, but everything I have had to eat there is great. Their beans are black and very tasty, I have tried most of the Mexican items on the menu and have not been let down, lots of flavor... More
