Good as Outbacks good. Friendly service that gets to know it's regulars. Updated decor and easy to find.

Outback is one of our favorites, however if I'm being honest this time was not one of the bests. Most of the food was over seasoned and both steaks came out overcooked. The break was good as always and the salads were fresh and crispy but that is about all I can say that was good. If it hadn't been... More
We used to love going to Outback but this is the second time in a row we have gone and found the steaks to be tough and not so tasty. We will probably not return.
Not in any hurry to go back though I appreciate the waitress and manager both offering to re-do my steak (overdone and extremely salty.) Nice variety of menu selections, comparable pricing, atmosphere on the noisy side. Salad and sides good, hubby liked his burger. It was okay, but too many other restaurants to eat at to return for just okay.
You are looking forward to a great steak dinner & here is what happens: #1. Wedge salad served on very hot plate #2. Steak overdone & served on cold plate. #3. Our server, Jake, never came back to check on us. The next time our server returned was to deliver the check. Outback should be better that this.
This is my first time in their new location and have to say I love the improved seating arrangements. However, they have now cut down on the portion sizes, but not the price.... More

We explained we had elderly guests with us, and outdoor seating would be uncomfortable for them. We waited some more, probably another 15 minutes... More

Went for lunch today and the food was just plain ok, nothing out of the extarordinary, but what really got me upset was how slipppery and greasy the floors were in this restaurant. I mentioned the dirty, greasy floors to our waiter who to my surprise told me they hear this complaint all the time. We won't be back!
This was a good place to get a basic meal while traveling through town--not disappointed--only downside was cost--but the wait staff was attentive and the food was decent
I've had a wide range of experience with the Gainesville Outback. Most of my bad experiences came when they were in the old location, next to Walmart. My father, brother, and I visited recently at the new location right beside Archer Road. Overall it was a good experience, the food was good, service was fair (a manager had to refill... More
