my order came out awful, I ordered wings and they came out so hard and burnt, also the lady said the beers were 2for1 but she charged us for both. never again, you want real Spanish food go to Cilantros in Punta Gorda or the Food Truck in Cape Coral

I love this place. The women behind the counter or at your table are always personable and genuine. The food is like grandma's. DELICIOUS. In a part of the world (SW FL) where everything is either a Cuban or a Mexican joint (no hate there though) this honest cafeteria style place has definitely been a favorite for years.

First & foremost, you need to know that they only offer carry-out after 6:30pm. This isn't advertised anywhere. So, heads-up. The food was so-so. We went to this restaurant based on an average 4-5 stars from Google, Yelp, and Urbanspoon. My mom and I had the roast pork entree. The pork was dry, bland and didn't have the robust citrus... More

Exceptional service and a wide array of flavorful choices are the standouts of this small, casual restaurant. One thing that needs to be publicized is the fact that the hours of operation are incorrectly listed on social media outlets. We sat down shortly after 6p and enjoyed a cold Bud Light while waiting for the rest of our party. Our... More

I recently visited Puerto Rico for the first time and Pinchos are the best way to eat chicken ( it's basically chicken skewers on the grill with spices and BBQ) Anyways El Pilon doesn't have these, but the rest of the menu is dead on excellent. They told me to go to where all of the churches are around the... More

At first glance El Pilon looks a little frightening but remembering that the best restaurants (and I use that phrase loosely) in PR were the ones on the side of the road that looked much worse I took the chance and boy was I glad. The food is hot, plentiful, and, most importantly, exactly what I grew up eating in... More

Don't let the looks of this place fool you, it's a little hole in the wall , but the food is authentic Puerto Rican and so is the service. It reminded us of some of our favorite little local spots in San Juan. The mofongo was the best we have had outside of Puerto Rico or the Dominican Republic. Our... More

Good above average. Friends suggested us to go. Went there for lunch. A little hard to find at first. The server was very friendly. Nice lunch dishes with very good bread.
