I ordered Pupusas de frijol con queso and agua de maracuyá. I got full from 3 pupusas. Everything was delicious. I liked this spot because it had agua de maracuyá
Very authentic Mexican restaurant. Waiter was excellent. I had a beef and cheese enchilada. I also had plantains for the first time, they were excellent!
My vegetarian fajita meal was very good. The salsa was really good. It also came with warm chips. Our server did a fine job. The music was a bit loud.
Never have had Salvadorian food and this was delicious. Everything was pleasant one waiter Mario José to my waitress Esmeralda who recommended my dish, they made sure I was taken care of. If you are looking for a whole in the wall and want to...try a different cuisine make sure you give this place a try. It marks all the best spots, good food, great service and an amazing price! This is one of our family favorite small, local restaurants in Fort Myers. The food and service is always great. My husband usually orders cheese pupusas as appetizers and according to him are the best in town and for dinner we get carne assada for...us and the children, the portions are a great size and the prices are more than fair. They have recently moved to a bigger unit and the new place also looks beautiful, love the fact that they have more space now and it doesn’t feel like everyone is on top of each which we still didn’t mind because the food is so good. If you are looking for a Salvadoran cuisine restaurant in Fort Myers than I highly recommend A la Cajutla.More
Great pupusas and very authentic. Food took a little while but was definitely worth it and delicious. If you like Salvadoran food then don't miss it.
My husband has a friend online that suggested we try Salvadoran food & how good Papusa was. Hubby googled "best Papusa in Ft. Meyers" and El Acajutla popped up. Armed with hunger, interest and the word Papusa, we headed downtown. We ordered 2 Papusas each,...stuffed with pork, cheese & beans. So good, especially with the sause we were given. Very filling and obviously freshly made, we were excited to find another great restaurant hidden away in a strip mall! The place was clean and pretty full for 3 pm on a Saturday, with Latin music playing on the TV behind the bar. I enjoyed the music while waiting for the food. There was a wait, but knowing that the food was being prepared from scratch made waiting no problem. Our waitress was great, and helped us when we asked for dessert. The flan was excellent, and we were given a small cup of a warm, thick, sweet delicious drink to try that I couldn't quite get the name of! We ordered a cup of what our waitress told us to refer to as the "corn drink". We promised to come back as soon as some fellow diners got tamales and fajitas that looked & smelled outrageous. I'm already planning to get only one Papusa so I can order something new next time.More

This place is a pleasure to see... The couple have made this new place so appealing to all.. The food is amazing especially for my favorite pupusas... Friendly and inviting
Best Mexican of Florida state. We love Mexican food and this was one of the best we have been. Party of 6, we all got different plates and they were all really really good. The service was friendly and cordial. Also the owner came at...our table to be sure that everything was ok. Do not miss!More
My boss and I stopped in for lunch one day because we were in the area. This is a hidden gem.. The food is fantastic. The pupusas are the best I've ever had. Their home made sauces are great. You can't beat the prices and...tons of food. I leave with enough food for 2 more meals. The service is great, very friendly. We stop in at least once a month for lunch now. Can't say enough... The pupusas and the Salvadoran shrimp were great. The caldo was good too. The Nicaraguan plate had hard, squeaky cheese and chewy meat that was a disappointment. Friendly staff and they turned the music down for us since a latino music channel was blaring on...the big screen behind the bar. The fried bananas were good.More
The food was really good. The staff is friendly and the environment is really pleasant. They have a new place just next door to the old restaurant. You should visit this new place.
