We met friends there 'just because' and had a really nice Happy Hour (bar reminds you of an English Pub...and there is table seating around the perimeter. Our waitress, Judy was awesome and we went on to have a fantastic dinner in the restaurant. There were 7 of us and we had quick seating when we asked, ambiance was so... More

Tonight we dined with our adult son and gf. 3 of us had the lobster tail dinner. My husband and I had one tail ($25), our son 2 tails ($40). The lobsters were about 6oz each. The clam chowder we had as our first course was thick, creamy and full of clams. His gf had the king crab and sirloin.... More

Had the Anniversary special, had the Haddock, cooked perfect. Food was served hot, salad was great, no complaints here. Definitely will return again.

Restaurant has great seafood with huge portions. Go easy on the bread ... you will need room for dinner. Restaurant was crowded and parking at a premium.

I have been to the Prawnbroker many times over the years when visiting Ft Myers and they have a consistent menu with a good selection. They usually have a number of good fresh options on special and on my recent visit, I selected the grouper - fried crunchy. (Is there any other way?) The portion was large and prepared nicely.... November is their anniversary month so they offer a large selection of dinner specials - 2 meals some $34 in honor of their 34th anniversary. The Boston Haddock is my favorite. The chowder is thick and plenty of clams. If your not a seafood fan they have a nice beef selection at the market as well.

We were vacationing in the area and came in for dinner on Thurs Nov 3. Our server was Sabrina and she went out of her way to explain the menu highlights and the various specials, etc. The meal was very good quality and tons of choices on the menu. I had Alaskan King Crab and I liked that they split... More

Walking through the front doors, guests are greeted by the in-house seafood market, where the Prawnbroker showcases their specially chosen fresh fillets of fish and beef, hand-cut on premise, that are sure to tempt the palates of all. To emphasize their commitment to buying local and bringing you the freshest seafood Ft. Myers has to offer, you'll find our hand picked selection straight from the local waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Here you'll get a peek at the sumptuous fare that you'll soon be enjoying from their comfortable yet elegant dining room. Feast your eyes on mouth-watering Snapper, Gulf Shrimp, Softshell Crabs, Mahi Mahi, and the best Grouper Florida has to offer. Small tubs of pale pink creamy shrimp bisque stand in line next to bases for both kinds of chowder - New England style being what the restaurant is most famous for, a nod to the original owners' home region. Diners consistently return to enjoy these favorites plus the greatest Florida Stone crabs (in season) and Maine Lobsters.
