Love the food and the service at the Prawnbroker Restaurant. Had the black and white sesame tuna and the grilled platter. We always look forward to the fresh fish, salads and that home made oatmeal bread (yum). It always a joy to have Donna wait on us if we can get her. We'll be back again soon!

We had not been to the Prawnbroker in several years. It used to be a wonderful place to have a nice seafood dinner. Tonight it was extremely noisy a nd the food was average, at best. Oysters Rockefeller were dry. The server knocked my fork off of the table as our food was placed on the table. I had to... More

I was not impressed. Decor is old and outdated, just like the clientele. Food was so so. I had the shrimp cocktail only and got sick. The baking oven was down so there was a wait for baked food. The menu is very limited. The menu said pastas and they only offered 1 pasta. Don't believe all the reviews.

if you are looking for a good meal at a good price visit the Prawnbroker and get seated before 5:30 pm. I had the salmon, which included soup (clam chowder) or salad, entree with starch and vegetable. Friendly staff. Reservations accepted.

My parents live in Fort Myers and every time we travel to visit them the Prawnbroker is a must! Next time we will definitely reconsider that.... Upon walking in the amount of confusion at the front door was very noticeable. In the past when you would walk into the Prawnbroker you would see a nice gentleman in a shirt and... More

Went there as it is often touted as one of the best seafood joints in town. I can't see why at all. Slow night rubber scallops bad bad Service. Maybe the bad Service tainted it but I won't go back.

Be sure to turn left when entering parking lot off McGregor. Parking lot serves multiple restaurants and if you turn right (as we did) you will have to turn around. Had reservations at 7 p.m. on a Friday night and was promptly seated. I went there specifically for grouper which server recommended pan-seared. It comes with choice of salad or... More

While we have enjoyed more than one good meal at Prawnbrokers, we will not be returning. My wife and I, along with 4 other couples had reserved a table for 10 and reconfirmed that the day of our dinner. When we arrived, we were put at 2 separate tables and told that was the best we could expect. After speaking... More

I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass. Absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked. Our waiter Sarah was instantly available whenever we needed her, while being extremely polite and entertaining. I'd highly recommend this restaurant!

Walking through the front doors, guests are greeted by the in-house seafood market, where the Prawnbroker showcases their specially chosen fresh fillets of fish and beef, hand-cut on premise, that are sure to tempt the palates of all. To emphasize their commitment to buying local and bringing you the freshest seafood Ft. Myers has to offer, you'll find our hand picked selection straight from the local waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Here you'll get a peek at the sumptuous fare that you'll soon be enjoying from their comfortable yet elegant dining room. Feast your eyes on mouth-watering Snapper, Gulf Shrimp, Softshell Crabs, Mahi Mahi, and the best Grouper Florida has to offer. Small tubs of pale pink creamy shrimp bisque stand in line next to bases for both kinds of chowder - New England style being what the restaurant is most famous for, a nod to the original owners' home region. Diners consistently return to enjoy these favorites plus the greatest Florida Stone crabs (in season) and Maine Lobsters.
