We called in here for a light snack and we both asked for coffee and brown bread. We were served the coffee but the brown bread came with just one plate so I had to use a napkin on the table. Staff were okay.

As good as it gets. Appetites sharpened by months of lockdown were totally treated with delicious food & superb service
Thank you, thank you, thank you! We all really appreciate you taking the time to leave this deadly comment.
I’ve often stopped off here when en-route to / from Portlaoise and I’ve always been more than satisfied with the lovely choice of food available, the homely atmosphere and the great level of customer service I received. My experience today, however, has surpassed all my...expectations. To the staff member who listened to me and served my son and I earlier this morning, I cannot say a big enough thank you. What a lovely, kind person you are. I’m sorry I don’t know your name, but once again, thank you so much. The owners of this restaurant are so lucky to have you working with them. Well done to all.More
Went here last weekend with my daughter and my parents. We had been here a few times before for lunch but decided this time we would try the breakfast. All I can say is WOW, hands down one of the best breakfasts I have ever had...out. My daughter couldn’t decide between a breakfast and porridge so the lovely waitress suggested a small bowl of porridge first, which she was delighted with! I had the full Irish , there was so much food, I just couldn’t finish it!Everything on the plate was really tasty and presented so well Couldn’t believe the price, will definitely be backMore

Friendly cheerful staff and great coffee..... Beautiful old millhouse. There's a few Cafes could do with taking a leaf out of Hares Corners Book.

Hi Orla. Thank you so much for your review. An American Indian saying states that "you judge a society by how it treats its elderly." Our restaurant follows that same philosophy. Thrilled that our food stood up to scrutiny too! Our staff will be delighted....More

Stopped here en route from Wexford to Mayo. Me and my dog. Had a gorgeous toasted ham cheese onion and tomato sandwich which came with a beautiful salad and a good coffee. When I asked where to take my dog for a little wee walk,...I was offered a drink of water for her. Very friendly staff. All the food looked delicious and reasonably priced. The toilets are on the ground floor - for anyone with mobility problems to know, lots of parking space. Easy access as it's located on the edge of town coming from Portlaoise on the N80. I can highly recommend The Hares Corner.More
