The atmosphere is fantastic. Service started out excellent and after that the server forgot about us basically. I had the scallops with sweet potatoes and brussel sprouts. The most unimpressive presentation of food I’ve had in a seafood restaurant. What should have been a “plated”...entree was a large bowl with the three ingredients mixed together creating a single color of slop. It looked like some leftovers that the chef put together for a late night snack. Quality ingredients don’t deserve to be mixed together in a bowl. Disgusting. Flavorless. Lose the dish!! I ate half of it and pushed it aside.More

Banana Boat is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is delicious. The atmosphere is South Florida. The flies at outdoor seating were annoying. The restaurants in the Market Place in West Delray had to deal with this problem. Banana Boat needs to do something.

Was in town visiting family (first trip since pandemic) and my parents made reservations here. We sat outside on the covered deck facing the water, which was very nice. My wife and I started with the coconut shrimp appetizer, which was perfect. My sons had...the clams casino and calamari, and both were good. The menu is fine and balanced but I decided to go with the Fish and Chips as the other items did not catch me. My wife had the seafood combo, as did one of my sons. Overall the ambiance is great, but food was mediocre at best. Will say this is second time here so gave it a chance, but will not return.More

I was here in 2017 & never came back until outdoor restaurants started opening after Covid-19. WOW was I surprised. They completely outdid the outside & it was very large & very comfortable. that said, I've been here about 4 times in the past 2...months. I just love their salads, especially the Seafood Cobb Salad. Waaaay too much & ate the rest for dinner. Came here on a Saturday evening & had the burger that was cooked perfectly. Will be making another reservation soon,More

What a great restaurant! We were seated right away by the Inter Coastal. Angel was our server & we couldn’t have asked for a better one. He was friendly, informative & efficient...All you can want. I had the Pan Seared Sea Scallops w/crispy Brussels Sprouts...& sweet potatoes with a red onion bacon jam...OMG! I thought my tastebuds were having a party. It was such a delicious entree. My wife ordered the Snapper Veracruzaana, which was yellowtail snapper, and she substituted Cherry tomato risotto for the side included...Very accommodating. We enjoyed both dinners immensely along with the beautiful water view and gorgeous breezes. We will definitely be frequenting the Banana Boat!More

First full family dinner post vaccines. Clean and friendly staff. Sat outside and was seated at the end near the bridge, which I was fine with. Almost everyone was very happy with their meal. My daughter was disappointed with mac n cheese with seafood, but...everyone else loved their meals. The bread felt microwaved and got rock hard soon after being dropped. Bruce was an attentive and friendly server. No social distancing at the bar, but this is Florida and not expected. Would have like servers to be wearing masks and not buffs. Overall, very satisfied. Was not rushed. Tables reasonably distanced.More

We tried to make a reservation early in day but nothing available. So after making the rounds to 4 restaurants looking for a place to eat (as most do not take reservations) we checked in here and a table was quickly found ! We were...celebrating a milestone bday and this place was great. The wait staff was attentive and the food was quickly served. we will definately come back and try again.More

I love the banana boat. I can honestly say I go maybe 5 nights out of seven days of the week. I work in the service industry w two jobs. I always end up spending all I make and take care of the staff each...time. If they ever say I don't they're lying. Maddie, Rob, Karin, Mike are all 5 stars plus staff. The mini cheeseburgers are that good. But for me to go and enjoy an evening there with my wife only to be kicked out after a server was yelling at a bartender for service. I took that opportunity to tell that server (Casey, blonde girl) that she shouldn't yell at bartenders that way or pour the drinks. She had time to tend to guest and left guest waiting longer only to bitch at her bartenders. Casey then went to manager; KATHY. WHOM never approached me, never asked me what's wrong or asked me anything. I then had to have Mike the bartender give me my tab before I ever even got my sides for my wife. It's a shame when a place is as disorganized as such that management doesn't seek a solution nor hear guest complaints. Total failure on management 100% and failure on training weak servers. Kathy and Casey should be retrained at the least w guest services and hospitality. See my photos.More

Reservation for 7:30. Started off okay. Thai shrimp appetizer was very good. They had run out of Ceasar salad. One entree hot, another one barely lukewarm. Service became practically nonexistent. Saw the hostess delivering food- never a good sign. We shared a banana split that...was a joke. Frozen chocolate that might have yielded to a chainsaw.More

I do not believe they have a policy on pets. Never saw one there before . Why not call the manager They might do the outdoor seating on smaller animals . Give a call

Yes they have limited vegan items. Lots of veggie salads etc. I believe they have plant based burgers as well.
