Great food in a relaxed setting. Wedge salad, shrimp stuffed with crab, and blackened sea bass all delicious. Service was good if somewhat erratic. Server had too many tables to take care of and had trouble keeping up.
Delicious food and drinks, good service. We enjoyed our seafood pasta, stuffed shrimp, and ribeye entrees. Cocktails were tasty. Our server was attentive and checked on us regularly. We’d come back again.
Got there before 8:30 for the 9:00 dinner and show. They had us go into the bar for a drink before seating us in dining/show area. Were moved to show area. Table fine. Again ordered drinks which came out fairly soon. Ordered fried green tomatoes...for an appetizer. Took awhile for that to arrive. Tomatoes seemed a bit override but ok. Getting our entrees took a very long time. It was about 9:45 before it came out. too long. I had the crab cake sandwich. It again was just okay. My husband had the hamburger which was so so. The show was a disappointment. Two drag queens who sang as women. They were okay. One "drag queen" was Frank Sinatra - blah. Another "drag queen" was Boy George. again blah. Really not worth the price.More
I thought I’d stumbled on a little gem on an overnight stop. Felt particularly pleased to discover there was a drag show on the night I was there. Friendly staff greeted and the food was reasonable but after the meal, the host informed me that...they didn’t have a table for the cabaret. Pretty sucky move after seating me at a table in the cabaret room. I definitely felt targeted...whether because I was alone or a tourist, I don’t know. I wasn’t drunk and there was no other potential issue. This left a very nasty taste in my mouth and is why I am writing this review. Poor behaviour needs to be called out and this was very shoddy!More

We accept reservations for our shows which are often sold out with waiting lists. Fortunately we were able to seat you as a "walk-in" for dinner with the understanding that all tables were previously booked for that evening's show and you would not be able...More
We celebrated my daughter's 17th there and were treated to dinner and a show! The food was spectacular and the entertainment grand. Thanks to COVID, she would not have been able to see it. A real silver lining.
It has been quite a few years since we've been to the Blue Moon. When we were here last, we had an excellent meal. But the main chef has changed since then, and our experience on this second visit was disappointing. The squash and crab...soup was very good, but the beet salad and seafood pasta were nothing special, and I did not particularly care for the sauce for the rib stroganoff. Its not that the meal was bad, but it was pedestrian, and not at all worth the money. Service was excellent when we showed up (6 pm), but by the time we were ready to leave it had become busy and service suffered for it.More
Whenever we're in town visiting, we always make it a point to stop in. We love the specialty cocktails, the warm and friendly staff and the wonderful neighborhood feel. Entertainment is always great too. During our recent visit, we had the privilege of dining at...the Blue Moon. The food was fantastic, our server was friendly and attentive and the overall experience was very memorable. Can't wait to return next time we're in town.
Jeff Weber and Chris McGarvey,
I have wanted to go to the Blue Moon for a long time since I attended a wedding that they catered. The food was excellent. Drinks were good. The service was poor. Our waiter was not attentive, rolls were not delivered when he said that...they would-I had to remind him. He made snide comments when we asked for a take out box. Grabbed the plate with my roll which I was still eating and dropped for roll on the floor. He asked if we wanted after dinner drinks and we said Yes. 10 minutes later, he came back to the table to get our order. We asked for our check and it took him 10 more minutes to bring back our credit card saying, “I forgot that I had it.” He was very attentive to other tables, but for some reason he chose to ignore us. We had a better dining experience across the street at The Pines. Needless to say, I will not be returning due to the lack of attentive service.More
