Visited this pub with family for a Saturday lunch . Three of us had burgers which were amazing and the other two had a suet pudding and fish and chips which they felt were not so good. However the staff were friendly and I would go back for a burger again.

Midweek lunchtime food. Steak & kidney pudding excellent and my son liked his sirloin steak. Good chips and vegetables. Lion mess was a bit disappointing, not very exciting but my son liked his profiteroles. Good food overall and good service. A pleasant pub.

A terrible evening. Service was awful. Starters we're lukewarm. Mains alright. We did have our bill reduced when we complained but even though we live round the corner we wouldn't go back.

We have started to use The Lion as our Sunday Carvery go to place. We found purely by accident and are so happy we did. Food is always excellent and more than we can eat. Always a pleasure eat there and happy to take family and friends along too

I stopped in here as it was within walking distance of the hotel I was staying in. First impression was the barmaid, who kindly showed me to a table, very polite. The second thing I noticed was the prices of the food, which were great. I had the pie deal which was awesome. The barmaid bless her was over worked... More

Went to have a Wednesday carvery at the Lion of Kent today, couldn't fault it in the slightest! The food was delicious, very quick service too. The bar maid was a delight, very welcoming and was more than welcome to help. The manager was there to check our food was to our liking, had a very friendly manner and again,... More

Booked a table for 13 people after a photo-shoot in the local area. Almost everyone in the party took advantage of the 2 or 3 course carvery. You only get a few options for the starter and dessert but enough choice for anyone to like something. The carvery itself was very good. Hot, 4 choices of meat and plenty of... More

We went here as a birthday meal the day after Valentine's Day. There were 6 of us in total. The menu has a lot on it to choose from and there is a Carvery. The food was very good and plentiful. However it was very slow and although there was at least 3 in the Kitchen the young lady serving... More

17 booked for a Sunday carvery and drinks. Food was excellent, staff very friendly and helpful. Darren spent time chatting with our group which was a nice personal touch. Amazing food and massive portions so excellent value for money. Will definitely go again and would thoroughly recommend this pub/carvery to anyone.

Thank David C
