The portions have been reduced to half the size they were. The place no longer has that clean feeling and I was neither impressed with the waitstaff, nor the actual taste of the food. They still have the best tartar sauce though. I would NEVER eat here again

I came with a party of 9 to celebrate my sisters birthday . After being seated our waitress came by and laid out the menus, no personality and it was obvious she didn't want to be there! After we got our food the waitress never came back to see how everything was! My daughter got chicken which was overcooked, dry... More

Steak was overcooked, served fake lobster, and imitation crabmeat in the seafood stuffing. Server was rude, never filled water glasses or brought over plates for bread. When asked for manager she was even worse, refused to assist us, was loud and offensive and argued with us and another set of customers. This place is nothing like the old days. DO... More

Great atmosphere. I visited Jimmeys Memorial Day Weekend. We eat at Jimmeys each time we visit Connecticut coming from North Carolina. I remember Jimmeys as a young child and as a young lady before moving to North Carolina 20 years ago and the restaurant has stood the test of time.

Had lunch here on our way from New York to Boston. Restaurant is outdatet and could use a fix up. However the staff was friendly and the food was fine. The main reason to go here though is when you need quick bite and the great view over the water.

Restaurant was dingy, menu was expensive, restrooms were not kept clean. Last, but not least, the clam "chowder" was a soup. I thot chowder was thick, made with cream, full of clams, etc. We drove out of our way, on the advice of a local, and felt it was pretty much a waste of time.

I remeber going to a Jimmiee's that was bright and shiney...this trip found a dull atmosphere....their lobster roll was so greasey and a sparse amount of lobster...for the $$$ it was an expensive trip

Wait staff were actually friendly (despite what we read in earlier reviews). The food was awful! Mussels were undercooked, calamari was rubbery, fish and chips appeared to be from some frozen (or reheated) origin, chicken tenders (kids meal) tasted more like fish. Great setting sitting outside, but the food leaves a lot to be desired. Very disappointing.

We moved from West Haven 20 years ago, and this was our first return visit to Jimmies. It was even better than our great memories of it. Jimmies sits right on a public beach and a walkway invites you to wander for miles along the Long Island Sound beach. The view and location are perfect for Jimmies seafood treats. I... More

I haven't been to Jimmies in at least 15 years. I just took my mom for her 70th birthday, so Happy I did. The food was fresh and tasty. There was a good selection. The view was great and being as it was a nice summer day we were able to sit outside with the ocean breeze. The service was... More
