Every guest I've taken to this restaurant has asked when can we come back. I especially enjoy the shish-kebab with spinach rice and the pumpkin puree

Visited on 11th January. The Food was fantastic. The Afgan cuisine is a blend of Middle east & Indian food. Historically it was on Spice root, where Spices were routed from India through Afganistan to Europe. The Kebabs are very Succulent & tender with just right amount of Spices. We had Lamb Kebabs & Chicken Kebabs. Their Pulav also has... More

Great place for happy hour and otherwise as well. Everyday from 4 to 7pm including weekends. We had quite the appetite when we got there. Got the samosas, hummus, boulani, ashak, falafel pita wrap and the beef pita burger (it's a lot I know). Stand outs were the falafel wrap with the hummus along with the boulani and ashak. The... This is located on Lasalle road and there is both on street and lot parking available. The set up of the restaurant is unique for Weta in that it is located on multiple levels. There is an elevator available. The service was OK, nothing special. Perhaps because there was only one server. She also served as the greeter. My food... More

I went here for dinner spontaneously and was thrilled. The restaurant is hung with beautiful rugs and tapestries, the building itself if interesting, and there's a hookah lounge. The food is fantastic, with many vegetarian options. I would highly recommend the pumpkin purée as a side and Afghan tea to drink. Any main dish you chose will be good. The... More

Maybe we should have known when we walked in at lunch one day that we were the ONLY people there. I'm not saying the food was bad, it was actually quite good it's just an unusual restaurant in general.

My favorite restaurant. I have been eating here for many years. I don't know anyone who has tried this restaurant and didn't like it.

LaSalle Road is in one of the finest restaurant neighborhoods in Connecticut. Walkable from library, EV charging, shopping, movie theater, etc. The Shish Kebab House offers great food and drinks. Be prepared for longer than average waits. We will return here from time to time after sampling the dozens of nearby choices.

First the food was excellent. We both had different shish kebabs: lamb and chicken. See pics. The rice had a mild cinnamon and nutty flavor. One had onions, the other had shredded carrots. Both had tender broiled kebab meats. Both came with Afghani style eggplant (creamy yoghurt version of Italian eggplant parmesan). Dessert was rice pudding with pistachios, like the... More
