My wife and I recently dined at the Capital Grille in Stamford on 7/23/17 - Overall experience, very poor - Our costs exceeded $350 for two dinners. Our evening out started poorly as the restaurant was almost empty and we asked for a booth after...More

Upscale restaurant, not inexpensive but with first-class food and service in a clubby ambiance. The cuisine is not exclusively meat-based but my reason for visiting was to eat steak and drink a good red wine with it; there is a good wine list. I found...More

Nice restaurant at downtown Stamford offering a good service. Rather good meat but preparation can be improved. Overpriced in my view. Large wines menu with some good options.

Capital Grille... EXCELLENT! entrees and service. The elite of many restaurants under the same company as Red Lobster, LongHorn Steakhouse, Outback and etc.

From our first moment in the door, we were treated like royalty. Our waiter Dragos Oleanu , was amazing and attentive. The salads were outstanding including kale and heirloom tomatoes which were fresh and delicious. The wine was outstanding. And I ordered halibut--the best I...More

I think this has got to be one of the best places to eat in Stamford but boy does it come with a price tag, not helped by the poor exchange rate of the British pound. If money is no object it's a must visit....More

Excellent food and service in a room that looks clubby and old school. The lunch plate is a sort of pre-fixe with an appetizer and main course. It is reasonably priced but fairly small in terms of the portion size. We will try this place...More

Description
When seeking an exceptional dining experience, Stamfordites need look no further than their own backyard. At The Capital Grille in Stamford Town Center, dry aged steaks and 20 year-old Scotch fortify Fortune 500 power brokers and power shoppers alike, while refreshing cocktails and irresistible appetizers delight patrons of the Palace Theatre and Rich Forum. Clearly, distinctive dining is not reserved for that larger city down the road. As a charming young lady once said, there's no place like home.
