Thali is the place that my family usually goes to celebrate birthdays, and we've been going there for years. They have amazing food and service and have yet to disappoint. Thali is easily my favorite restaurant in Ridgefield.

We stared going to Thali when we lived in New Canaan and we were thrilled to know we had one in Ridgefield when we moved here a few years ago. They've been a staple ever since! The best Indian food around and extremely consistent.

We have eaten here many times but not in recent past. This visit was a wonderful surprise. The staff was very attentive without being over-bearing. The food was outstanding. We started with the cauliflower appetizer. The serving size was perfect for the two of us. The cauliflower was al dente and the sauce was tangy and sweet. I loved it... More

I had no idea. I used to drive by this restaurant all the time and never stopped by even though I like Indian food. Something about it being located in a roadside motel really turned me off, but I was wrong. It's a gem. Really too bad of where it's located. Oh well, I guess they can't do much about... More

Have been somewhat of a regular here for years hoping it would be what it once was. The food overall is good, but the service not so good. Family trying to run the place for years seems overly serious and at times angry. At buffet they rush you out 15 minutes before it's supposed to end. At dinner, they tend... More

First off, I believe that Thali has a new permittee, but that is not a negative comment in any way. The chef and staff, who I also believe are new, have a wonderful take on the cuisine. They are preparing dishes that are recognizable to non-Indian patrons, but not using a "this is just another Indian restaurant" approach to preparation... More

We had been to the Thali in New Cannan several times and loved the food. We were surprised that this version was in a low rent motel. The décor does not compare with the New Cannan location but the food was just as good. Delicious. Portions a little small, prices mid range to high. But the food will have me... More

Thali in Ridgefield is a treasure. Located on Route 7 inbetween Danbury and Wilton in a little motel plaza in Ridgefield, it is an unassuming but clean and comfortable restaurant that features some of the best Indian food I've ever had. My wife and I like to go in Winter and sit by their fireplace. The staff couldn't be more... More

If you're in the Ridgefield, Redding or Wilton area and like Indian food, you must go here. Reasonable prices and the food is excellent. Very friendly and attentive staff. Highly recommended.
