I'm truly sorry. For years I've passed by this place and figured it was a dive. But I was hungry for pizza, saw some nice reviews and decided "what the heck". I called and ordered a small salad and a clam pizza with tomato sauce to go. Pizza Palace is a small place with an extremely friendly staff. The pizza... More

If you are along the Connecticut Shorline and looking for somewhere to eat, do not miss the Pizza Palace in Old Saybrook. This is one of those hidden gems where the all the locals go. They have won numerous awards for the best Greek Pizza on the shoreline, but there is so much more. The fried clam platters and side... More

A welcome experience, a local, friendly pizzaria. I was made to feel welcome right away. Ordered takeout. Had the clam strips and a white clam pie. Strips were excellent, as good as Bill's in Westbrook, which were excellent. Abundant amount of clams, fries and breaded fried onions. Could be split easily. Clam pie had ricotta on it for a unique... More

Hubby goes here all the time when we are in town for the Ipswich whole belly fried clams. Generous portion served with coleslaw, French fries and onion straws. I always get the chicken parmesan dinner which comes with bread and a salad. Always have a doggy bag with the portion size. The restaurant itself is nothing special but it has... More

Mom and I were visiting and drove down Route 1 in search of a place to eat. We had never been to Pizza Palace before and decided to give it a try. We ordered a small Margareta pizza and then decided to change the order to go. I didn't get her name but the young lady who waited on us... More

Small, older restaurant that has average food but a great family atmosphere. Price are good for what you get, which is a lot. Always busy. Worth trying. Fried foods are their specialty. No reservations, get there early on a weekend.

Our friends were anxious to take us for our first visit to The Pizza Palace and see us order seafood instead of pizza! Unbelievably lightly breaded fried bay scallops and whole belly clams..fries..shoestring fried onions...the best ever! Nice neat and clean decor. We plan another meal soon.

We have been coming here for years and it is always consistent. Good food and plenty of it at reasonable prices. The pizza is Greek style and has been given many local and state wide awards. The service is fast and friendly and there are always left overs to take home. The restaurant is packed year round there are also... More

This restaurant has been around for years and never disappoints. Their fried clams are great and the portions are the best in town. Not much on atmosphere but its air conditioned and the service is spot on. This is where the locals get their pizza and eat on a regular basis. Very varied menu and kid friendly.
