The tapas here are consistently good: simple flavors but delicious. And there is a huge variety of options. Service is laid back but attentive--a nice combination for a relaxed meal. If you like small plates, it's a good option in downtown New Haven. But the floor is huge and it gets quite crowded on weekends, which can make it very... More

I really love this place. We had a couples night out with friends and had a variety of Tapas: meatballs, fig with chorizo, egg and potatoes (Spanish Omelette)scallops...All of them were amazing! The wine selection was amazing and we had a bottle of Pinot that outstanding. I can't wait to come back to this restaurant. Outstanding!

The menu here is amazing with great wine selection. There are wine specials on weekends - really great offers. Service was wonderful, attentive waiters and always available when needed. It's one of the few great spots in New Haven. A little hard to find and always busy, but totally worth it.

There people know what they are doing! Excellent olive Oil with even better bread from the famous Iggy bakery is served as soon as you sit down. When they do something like that- i mean- extend a hand , then so many different people come in that it becomes a feast just to be there. Not pretentious, just right. Food... More

We met a friend there and spent a very pleasant couple of hours over several plates of tapas and a glass of sangria. I liked the vibe here...friendly and relaxed. We asked the server to give us a selection and the food kept coming...so if you don't want to order off the menu then tell the waiter you'd like to... More

Went here on a Sunday for dinner with my son and his wife. Service was great, the food was excellent, and the wine was great--and, the bonus was that bottles are 1/2 price on Sundays!!! Great atmosphere too!

Arriving early at the Omni Hotel on Temple St, New Haven for a meeting ( and I don't recommend short term parking there ) we wanted to kill a couple of hours and grab a bite to eat. Voila! Barcelona just footsteps from the hotel's front door. They offer happy hour prices on cocktails and small bites ($5 glasses of... More

I stopped in for a few tapas and a drink. I ordered the flank steak, sweet potato and the Sangria. The Sangria was too sweet...barely drinkable. The Rose Sangria was good. The steak was very good and the sweet potatoes were so greasy that I didn't eat them. The bread and olive oil were delicious. The service at the bar... More

Barcelona New Haven opened in 2006 and is our largest restaurant in CT. Winner of the New Haven Advocate's "Best New Restaurant" and "Best Wine List," Barcelona is located next to the Omni Hotel in downtown New Haven just steps from Yale University. Here we have combined some of our favorite elements in a single location. A street level lounge overlooks a dining bar area with a stone fireplace. The sophisticated glass-and-steel dining room is framed by a 2000-bottle refrigerated wine cellar. The dramatic 80-seat private room is dominated by a larger than life, wall to wall, 30-foot mural of a Spanish bullfighter, and a 20-person chef's table, fashioned from a single walnut tree, borders the busy open kitchen.
