Great authentic Polish food. Service is good and they have a great selection of European beer. Even the staff are Polish. Great place!

2nd visit to this gem. Both times for lunch. Worth a visit if you are anywhere nearby. Food is fresh like home cooking. Great selection and reasonable prices. If you like Polish food you won't be disappointed.

Since New Britain isn't exactly a must-go destination for tourists, I don't often review local restaurants. But I have to put in a good word for Staropolska because their food is consistently good. The pork cutlet with mushrooms and onions is always a good choice, and my partner swears that the golabki (stuffed cabbage rolls) are just like grandmother's. All... More

This restaurant has a full bar and a few small tables as well as bar stools if you need to wait to be seated. It is in the little Poland section of New Britain. Just as a note if you are unfamiliar with New Britain, only very good Polish restaurants can survive here as there is a large Polish population... More

Located in Little Poland in New Britain, this neighborhood restaurant is everything you could ask for. The food is authentic Polish cuisine and delicious. The menu is in Polish and English. It is fun to try something you might not ordinarily eat, such as pickle soup! I love the blintzes as well as the kielbasa sandwich. My hubby always gets... More

This restaurant is predictably good, time after time. We took some Polish friends from upstate New York and we all raved about our lunch. Chicken noodle soup, just like your Babcia used to make, really hit the stop. The pierogis are always good whether boiled or fried. The sweet farmers cheese pierogi are incredibly good. The stuffed cabbage is filled... More

We have been here numerous time in the past. Today, we like the place more than before as the place was not mobbed as in the past. The place was quiet, sparkling clean, and we were promptly attended. Neither of us is a big eater, but we love food. One of us concentrated on her "standard fares" Which would be... More

I always find myself rating other Polish food how it tastes compared to my Mom's. Have to say we were all pleasantly surprised even my Mom how delicious everything was. My husband enjoyed the herring. The borsch soup was wonderful. Potato pancakes were huge and so yummy! Golabki tasted so good. We also had the Gdansk pork roast stuffed with... More

My friend and I, both of Eastern European heritage, but not Polish, sampled a number of dishes over a quiet mid-week lunch. The red borscht (Cold), which had two tasty meat dumplings floating in the brilliant red broth, was very refreshing and very well balanced. The stuffed cabbage was a bit salty, but quite good and very hardy. The stuffing... More
