We took our sports team there on a Wed night. The staff were very friendly and the service was fast. The pizza's were delicious! We couldn't have picked a better place!

My wife and I checked into a motel in Meriden for the evening. We did not want to go out to eat. I went to Zorba's on a suggestion of the motel's staff. The pizza was very nice and the people in the restaurant were...very kind. They gave us paper plates, napikins and plastic silverware.More

I stopped by for lunch after reading the reviews and craving a good gyro. I probably ate at more tavernas and gyro stands living in Greece than I did in my own apartment, and sometimes I just need that fix. The simplicity of meat carved...off of a rotisserie, fresh tomato, onion and tzatziki on a pita is near perfection, so I was less than impressed with the uniform, pre-formed, pre-cut and reheated lamb and beef that came out. When I hit a BBQ joint, I expect to see a smoker out back. In a Greek restaurant, the gyro meat should be carved dripping off a vertical rotisserie. To top things off, I'm pretty sure that the soup of the day, "Chicken Pasta," was a canned chicken noodle. I will admit, I love Campbell's Chicken Noodle, but not at a restaurant. The beauty of Greek taverna food is it's freshness and simplicity. I got none of that here.More

I lived in Meriden for over 50 years and Zorba's still offers one of the best Greek pizza, I ever had!

My wife and I recently ate at Zorba's. I had a chicken florentine which was excellent. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the roasted vegetables that came with it were excellent. My wife ordered a shrimp scampi which was also excellent. The waitresses and service...are great. We will definitely be back. Highly recommendedMore

We're from out of town and only get here once a year. I always loved their fried clam strips, so ordered those, with a baked potato and the roasted veggies that come -- plus a trip to the salad bar. (No shrimps this time, but...who cares? Plenty of good things available!) My wife ordered filet of sole and was surprised to get THREE of them on her plate! Good Italian bread came, too. Food was delicious and generous. I had to take home half of my clam strips, but they heated up nicely a day later. We'll definitely go back.More
