The coffee was delicious but the staff was very quiet and seemed to be a bit overwhelmed by the steady line that kept growing. We've visited several other times and we're always greeted and helped by a very cheerful staff, hope this was just an off day. We love the coffee and will continue to stop in for a caffeine... More

I'm a regular at Willoughby's, as they have in my opinion simply the best coffee around. The service is good, some of the snacks are quite good (rugelacks (sp?)), others pretty standard fare, and once in a while not as fresh as they could be. The atmosphere is typical - standard, coffee shop fare, sitting outside is nice in good... More

I prefer to support local business over the corporate and Willoughby's does a lot of things right that gives it the edge over starbucks across the street.. Service is quick and very friendly. The staff was more than willing to talk about the selection of drip coffees offered and find out what would best suit our taste. The place is... More

Better than Starbucks but don't count on eating there unless (mornings) all you want is a bagel or a croissant or (later) a meager choice of cookies. It's where the Madison crowd goes to meet friends over a cup of java.

This coffee shop always makes me forget about Starbucks which is down the street. They are a lovely local roasting company with delicious coffee, tea, pastries, and soups.

I used to love Willoughby's but on a couple of recent visits the internet wasn't working, the staff was not friendly and the place was empty. To stay in the game they need to address these issues. Even when they offer to reset the internet it still doesn't work. And the staff could care less.

I have starting buying a brand of their Organic coffee I have them grind fresh for me. It is delicious and I am proud to help the organic coffee growers. I recommend it highly!

Stopped here after lunch for a coffee and something sweet. Had a double espresso which was kind of small. Had a cappuccino that was more foam than coffee. Other than the disappointing portions, the coffee was good. The raspberry oatmeal bar was pretty yummy as was the cookie we ordered. It was lovely sitting outside and enjoying our afternoon pick-me-up... More

We moved here 9 years ago from Cali and have enjoyed Willoughby's since we move to Madison. The service is always spot on even on their most busy mornings/afternoons. The coffee and tea is always great and they have the most tempting and delicious baked goods available. The scones and breads are always fantastic along with their cookies! During the cooler... More

The service was all right; girls were very nice and friendly. I got scone and a coffee and took a seat in side of the shop because of the rain. other days I was sitting outside on the bench and enjoy fresh air and watching the people coming to get the coffee. That place is very well visited and people... More
