Met up with friends for Saturday dinner. An inauspicious start when our table was not ready and no one seemed to be keeping track-- us waiting at the bar with empty tables in the dining room-- the staff seemed a little overwhelmed. Once seated, however, we were very well taken care of. Prompt cheery table service and very nice, civilized... More

Casual, good food. Everything we had was very good but I'd especially recommend the Brussels sprouts, falafel fritters, salmon burger and bread pudding!

Had dinner here last night. One of the best meals I have ever had. Chicken had a crispy skin and white meat with a delicious sauce. No bone! I highly recommend this popular spot.

I had heard great things about this place when it was at the Tollgate and when it moved to the new location I was excited to try, but unfortunately I was let down. We were 4 people total and only one person really enjoyed their meal. The layout of the restaurant is nice and the bar area is great, we... More

The restaurant is dominated by the very lively bar scene; the dining rooms consist of all hard surfaces, reflecting the noise from the bar and anyone else who doesn't know what an inside voice is. We were hoping for a romantic dinner, but the noise level doesn't allow that. As other contributors have noted, the menu is very innovative and... More

Sunday night with wife. Nice facility. Bar centrally located, lively bar crowd, very noisy. Friendly wait staff. Drinks and salad came out very quickly. Order the Ceasar Salad ONLY if you have a craving for anchovy paste. Waited for entrees forever. When they arrived, my medium-rare burger was served very well-done. Could only eat half. My wife's chicken was cold... More

We went to Mockingbird last week for my birthday. We enjoyed it so much that it became a true birthday present. The new restaurant is attractively modern as well as warm and cozy. There were four of us and we had a varied menu; pork chop, roasted chicken, lamb burger, grass fed burger. All four dinners were excellent. The restaurant... More

Had a wonderful dinner last night. Mockingbird at the Tollgate has changed quite a bit. In fact, it's in a new location in Bantam! The restaurant formerly at the Tollgate Inn in Litchfield, was a bit outdated, but the charm was irreplaceable. But say goodbye to the warm rustic gathering place and say hello to their new uptown Manhattan decor... More

Excellent! Has become one of our new favorite spots. Like the vibe, food, atmosphere (sat right in front of the fire place).

Now located at the old Bantam Inn and newly refurbished. Not just an ordinary menu. Many creative choices and a nice bar area. Be prepared for noise as it is not the most quiet establishment, but don't let that dissuade you.
