Stopped in for some lunch when cycling around the island and glad we did. The coffee was great with a rich roast but the coffee was knocked into third place by the banana and honeycomb muffin in second place and the quiche in first place....The muffin was moist and I only wish I bought one to take home with me. The quiche had a delicious crust, buttery and baked perfectly, this was enhanced by the sharpness of the cheese and sweetness on the tomato, rounding it off with perfectly set egg. The service was excellent, friendly and offering to fill our water bottles was a nice touch. The next time I’m in Millport I’ll definitely be calling in again and earlier in the day.More

It was a lovely day for a walk around Cumbrae & by the time we had reached Millport we were very ready for a coffee & some cake. Brewbaker was the first place we saw & the cakes in the window were very tempting. We...couldn't sit inside due to COVID restrictions (glad to see how careful they were being) but there was a handy bench overlooking the harbour just across the road. I had an apple & plum muffin & a mince pie while my wife had the chocolate brownie. All scored top marks! The coffee was great too. But what really, really stood out was the customer service. It was helpful, friendly & quick. So we were upset to realise we hadn't been charged for everything we'd bought & went back to pay for the missing item. But the lovely lady behind the counter refused to take the money, saying it was 'her mistake'. My wife insisted but we got nowhere. Rest assured that Brewbaker is going to be our first choice for a cafe stop next time we are on Cumbrae.More

Stopped here for lunch on a trip round the island. Had 3 very tasty different types of quiche, amazing chorizo and roasted tomato soup and a cous cous salad. Would highly recommend.

We were on Cumbrae for a nice walk and after a 4 mile trek from the ferry slip we were keen to get a hot drink and a comfortable seat, there was plenty of choice along the promenade but we were drawn to Brewbaker as...soon as we spotted it. Inside is full of charm and character and the owners were incredibly friendly even on a quiet Thursday afternoon... there was a very enticing menu offering hot food, sweet treats and various barista style coffees and goodies, we ordered a cappuccino and a milk hot chocolate and took a seat, our drinks were brought after 2 mins and i really cant praise the quality of them highly enough.. my coffee was perfect and the hot chocolate was literally the best i have ever tried. the cost for our drinks was £5 which for the standard is ridiculously cheap. I feel this little gem has so much more to offer with the other menu choices so if you're in Millport and need a coffee or some lunch give Brewbaker a try, you wont be disappointed.More

Just what the island needs, fantastic chocolate and a lovely place to stop for lunch. Can’t wait to go again when we visit for Hogmanay!!!

We visited on a recommendation for tea and cake, were surprised, really enjoyed it and went back for lunch next day on our 2 day break. I had the homemade choc brownie and it was great. We also had a piece of lemon drizzle cake...which was really good as well. Their house tea was very tasty also. Just a small cafe space typical of Millport but comfortable and friendly. The kitchen and food prep areas are open towards the back. There is a wide selection of specialty chocolates made by the owners and we bought some as gifts. The lunch we enjoyed was their Stornoway Haggis Quiche, and a Pakora vegetarian lunch both served with their own speciality salad. Both were really good, and everything was really good value. There was a breakfast and lunch blackboard menu, then the cakes. I think the owners have created something quite unique. It was busy each time we went. I fully recommend it and will be back on our next visit to MillportMore
