I worked at Bishop's in 1977 and it has changed a lot since then! Ended up getting apple cider. The apples are the best in October

The location in the back of the store was a little odd, but the wine was the best that I have had. There is a great selection to pick from and I loved all the ones that I tried. When you are done with the tasting there is a wall of their wines that you can purchase also. I highly... More

Found this place on the Connecticut Wine Trail map. Just off I-95. Wine/Cider tasting is in the back of a country store that sells fresh local produce, meats, and pastries, etc. Broad selection of non-grape fruit wines. Focus is on varieties of local grown apple wines, many creatively mixed with, pears, peaches, raspberries and cranberries. $9 tasting includes souvenir glass... More

Although I am not a local, I spend quite a bit of time in Guilford, and usually plan to stop at Bishop's for groceries before heading home. We love their selection of hard to find meats like buffalo(bison) and boar. They have an amazing selection of cheeses, and wines to go with it. Their baked goods are made in store.... More

This is a great place to stop by and find a good assortment of fresh market items. They are brought to market right from their own orchards and fields. There is produce, cheeses, etc. depending on the season. Besides the fresh items they stock plenty of other goods so you can just about get whatever you need for the kitchen.... More

One of the last family farm markets standing in the State. Depending on the season, something is almost always available to pick, eat and enjoy. They do a great job of making farming a family affair by hosting folks to pick their food right out of the various fields, orchards, etc. Inside the actual store you can find almost everything... Always leave this farm market with something fresh and delicious! So much to choose from from fresh local produce to gourmet cheeses! And the wine tasting was so much fun thanks to the Amazing Grace! If they didn't name the wine after her, they should have! She made it a very enjoyable experience!

The wine tasting here was great and we enjoyed $8 worth of berry and fruit wines (no grape wines). The shop is filled with local produce, fancy cheeses, meats and soups (perfect for a picnic or takeout option for dinner at the hotel), and ice cream. Unfortunately no scoops of ice cream available for tasting-- just quarts for purchase. Highly... More

Great fresh fruits and vegetables. They also feature a large selection of wines and the bakery is fabulous. Bishop’s Orchards have many events during the year. It is alot of fun for the kids. Keep up with the action on their facebook page. It is not a place to buy a week’s worth of groceries due to the high prices... More
