Great classic French food in a beautiful setting. Service is perfect. We had crispy duck as our main dish and it did not disappoint. Portions are generous. Good bar.

We came here to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. (No, I'm not 28. Suffice to say I've been around the block). Everything about this dining experience was first rate, top-notch, among the best places I've ever dined. From the moment you walk into the amazing spaces, you will feel you're in a special place, and you'll feel well taken care... More

Thomas Henkelmann was, by far, the best dining experience we have had in Connecticut. We went to celebrate our wedding anniversary. From the minute we walked in the door, the service was top notch - courteous, friendly, and classy. The server was extremely kind and was fabulous in helping us choose an excellent wine to start (after our glass of... More

The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and setting decorated to look colonial with a log fire in the corner. The menu for both food and wine was good with plenty of options all very tempting. The waiter was full of character too.

Very unusual because they have kept the same wonderful people working at the restaurant for many years, surrounded by beauty of the surroundings as a reminder of what rural Greenwich might have been like in the 1920's, pouring soup with dignified formality into your bowl, greeting everyone with a warm smile, forgiving sneakers and blue jeans. I can think of... More

A special place for dinner. The dining room is cozy with a fireplace surrounded by a glassed in porch for a view of the lovely grounds. Either choice you will enjoy a delicious french meal. There is a small lovely bar for a cocktail or after dinner drink.

This is a special place. Old school in a wonderful way. Pleasurable and helpful wait staff. But the main courses just weren't special, particularly the Halibut which was recommended. Strong wine list. And it is good. Just stopped short of being extraordinary, which is what you pay for.

I took my wife for dinner for our anniversary Friday night. We have been here many times in the past and always enjoyed it. It's a 5 star restaurant and you just expect everything to be perfect. It just didn't hit on all cylinders. When I made the reservation, I specifically requested a nice quiet table. We were taken to... More
