The grilled chicken breast salad with the house balsamic dressing was excellent. The ice tea is very good. The staff was very friendly and fun. The kitchen was efficient. Great value for the money. Looking forward to more lunches here.

I've only been once and I'd go back. I wouldn't say this is the greatest in the world although it's a nice place for a quit sit down meal.

Stopped here for a quick breakfast while in CT Staff were very, very friendly. Atmosphere was cute. Overall everyone enjoyed their breakfast (there were 7 of us) however, the people who liked their breakfast the least were those that got pancakes (ironic given the name of the restaurant). Seems they were dry. I think they were the best breakfast potatoes... More

Like Dave's of North granby, but tons better. Perfect breakfast along US highway 5, after exploring a new church. Easy to spot amidst middle class neighborhood (lots of used car dealers) The place closes at noon on weekends, but customer traffic/turnover was heavy and steady. Sit at the bar if you want immediate service. The 3 of us had: western... More

We had not eaten here in a long time and were nearby yesterday. They haven't changed luckily. Homemade bread was outstanding and they make, in my opinion, the best home "fries" (not the typical fried) ) in our area. My omelete was huge and loaded with veggies as was my wife's. Portions huge, service generally quick and no nonsense. But... More

I eat breakfast 3 or 4 times a week mostly in diners around the North East. This is the worst I had. The coffee is so weak, the home fries taste like mud and the steak and the cheese omelet is OK but the steak is mushy... My friend's grit was of very poor quality. the service is good nothing... I had been searching for months for a breakfast place with a half way decent pancake. Some were burned, some not cooked enough, some had no flavor. Then we found Hot Cakes. The waitress warned me to get only one pancake, not a stack. I ordered my favorite - blueberry pancake. When she brought the plate out, I could barely... More
