I've lived in Winter Park for 31 years and Fontenot's has always been my favorite restaurant. They have a great selection of sandwiches, salads, homemade soups, and seafood (not just Cajun) specialties. When I want to eat light, I can have yummy boiled shrimp or the Mahi Mahi salad. When I want to throw caution to the wind, I enjoy... More

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary with dinner at Fontenots. The food as prepared by Chef Sean was delicious! My husband ordered steak and I had beef stronganoff. Our server Cindy was friendly and attentive throughout. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Very good food. Had the scallops as an appetizer. It was perfect! Followed by an amazing butternut squash, pumpkin raviolli! My husband and I split this because it was very rich but worth every bite accompanied with a bottle of True Grit cabarnet....Perfection! Also had a great waiter-Nick! Great night.

We stopped in on a cold night and found the food and service to be very comforting. The soups were delicious and so were our entrees. Decent kid options and very fun decor. This time of year we didn't have to wait, but they could easily handle large groups.

Decorated to represent New Orleans, this is really fun and casual!! But the food had some very different items - like kettle chip with a gorgonzola sauce and raspberry drizzle for an appetizer (two of you could share). I also had a chicken roulade.pinwheel that was very good and different as well.

We went here about two years ago - as well as today. Former years when they first opened, they have more Cajun food, HOWEVER, they have added many salads, burgers, etc. so there should be something for everyone. The Cajun dishes are really nice (shrimp etouffe, shrimp salad, crab and shrimp po' boys, etc). FRIED GREEN TOMATOES were terrific with... More

We stopped here for a late lunch on our way back to Denver. Since it was about 2:00 it was pretty quiet inside and we were seated right away. There is an outdoor patio which we didn't use as it was a bit cool. The décor gives you a little New Orleans feel with the lights hanging from the ceiling,... More

Really enjoyed our meal there yesterday. They took a reservation for 14 people with short notice, had our table ready when we arrived, and provided very good service. The food was very good, with plentiful servings. About a third of the table was originally from the South and were very happy with the New Orleans style Cajun cuisine. The fried... More

We went to Fontenot's for breakfast. I'm thinking most people don't know they are open for breakfast as there was no wait unlike the other breakfast joints in the area. The huevos were very tasty, service was great. For sure will go back to enjoy breakfast on the patio.

Ahi Tuna was a complete and utter joke. Do not believe "sushi grade"! This is a lie as it was clearly frozen and terribly unfresh. Rice was hard and old. Mashed potatoes were overcooked, gummy, and oily. Gumbo did not taste like it used fresh ingredients. This place purports "finest and freshest ingredients." From my experience here, that is a...
