Friendly and helpful waitstaff. Food was incredibly fresh and delicious. The array of options was endless and everything was so flavourful. Best breakfast in the village by far. Worth the 30$/person for the buffet. Excellent work!

Went to Ludwig's on Dec 31, 2016 expecting an exquisite dinner for $215/person without drinks. We were very disappointed. Ambiance was very elegant but the first question mark came when they decline to accommodate a low-salt request: all food, including fish and lamb chops was pre-cooked! The foie gras mouse was so salty and running off the crackers that I... More

Ludwig is actually the breakfast restaurant at Sonnenalp hotel. You can sit in the more formal dining room or the more saual winter garden. Breakfast starts with Champagne and Espresso followed by eggs to your liking, all kinds of bread and at least 30 other items from fish to sausage, from fruit to peanut butter not forgetting , blintzes, waffles,... One of the tourist books we were looking at had an article on this restaurant with the Sonnennalp Hotel. we decided to try it and were not disappointed. A very elegant and enjoyable place. The server was top-notch, the food was very good and my made to order omelet was delicious. we are thinking about staying at the hotel on... More

With a family of 8 adults and 1 having a gluten free diet this restaurant was a must try for us. While my expectations were low going in food was good how ever my main dish which was tortelloni. The sauce was way to salty as if someone in the kitchen did not pay attention as they were seasoning the... More

This restaurant offers an entirely gluten free menu. It is simply delicious, the attention to detail, the plating, the staff all are fantastic. The very best though is the cotton candy tree they serve you at the end of your meal. It is something you just have to see.

This was a real find for our family with two celiac members. They could eat anything on the menu since the entire kitchen is gluten free. Very upscale menu but prices are not over the top. Service was perfect, dining room is spacious and the 1 and 4 year olds loved the sea bass as did the adults. Oyster dish... More

WHAT SCRUMPTIOUS FARE! Oh my we could never pass up breakfast at Ludwig's, it really has the most wonderful variety of foods that appeal to the light and the larger appetites with dishes and varieties to please all. We linger over our breakfast longer than anywhere else and love the leisurely enjoyment of wonderful tastes and service.

Visited for brunch. Wide variety of hot and cold choices to satisfy any palate. Fruit selection was very good. Nice offering of breads. Many gluten free options. We sat in the solarium on a partly cloudy day, and it offered great views of the fall foliage. Attentive wait staff with perfect manners. You won't be disappointed.

First of all, I must disclose that were there during the "shoulder" or "off" season, so things are a little different in Vail then. We came in for brunch only to find out they don't do a la carte dining during this season, they do buffet only. Fine... There were only 3 tables sitting around us, so the place wasn't... More
